  1. gotta remember next year there are a bunch of people coming off ltir, when they end put oel on ltir and boom 💥 💯

  2. I wouldnt trade Myers if we have to pay to get rid of him but if someone wants him fookin take em bud

  3. I remember being infatuated…aka "deep like" so have fun with it young fellow.
I also remember being in "deep like" with the Canucks but that was back when
we had the Sedins and they were at their peak. Now, sure, we have some truly
talented players earning what they deserve but man o man have we got some
players earning way beyond their contribution level. This new management team
has a sh_t load of financial stuff to clean up and I wish them well.

  4. Boeser and Garland may be tradeable at seasons end when other teams cap situation is clarified. Depending on Myers no trade list a team trying to reach the cap floor may like a big RD who only needs 1 million in actual money. Kuzmenko would be easy to trade and would fetch a good return. 30 goal forwards at less than 6 million would be an attactive option.

  5. As a spectator in this (A Sabers fan) I can see a problem with buying out OEL causing a problem like Minnesota Wild have with Suter and Parise buyouts with having a lot of dead money. The best thing might just be to use him on the third pairing until his contract is up or until the buy out isn't as bad he might work .

  6. Benning really should have been fired or never hired since he came from the bruins shortly after they beat Vancouver in the final. Signing players that should be playing for minimum wages. Owner of the team couldn't figure it out. It smells. Like the group now. Coach, staff , players. Keep the talent. They played hard against Toronto for 60. Look what happened. Our team will shine brightly again for all of Canada. At least Canucks can get somewhere deeper in post season than getting knocked out of the playofffs 1st round. We know who's good at that. Toronto. Wannabes. We are all Canucks!!!!

  7. No, not really. Myers have say where he will go so you can forget Arizona. And OEL? 8 YEARS? Right…

  8. I subscribed SOLEY because of your personal story at the beginning. I watch your vids often but I rarely subscribe to anyone because I don’t want a big mess of videos. But your personal touch put me over the edge.

PS. Love your vids, and I’m from Kelowna and have loved the Canucks my entire life! From playing inbetween periods when I was 6, to the 94’ and 11’ game 7’s.

They are hard to watch but still have some great young talent.

    🤞🏻 Bedard!

  9. Myers defensive gaffs were horrendous this year. Not a tough guy or scorer either. Heave ho

  10. I think the way Rick has Meyers playing he will be okay to keep till his contract runs out. As for OEL Retain half his contract if you can trade him. At least you get something back and it won't kill us.

  11. What about cap retention on an OEL trade. Is he worth something at 5.2 mil? It is much easier to eat 2 mil a year on OEL for 4 years than to loose 5 mil in cap space.
If I'm management, that's my move.
I'd also move Myers and bring in Dumba on the right at an affordable cap

  12. If they can offload Boeser and/or Garland at the draft (or after) and Myers after his actual money is paid, that gives us a decent amount of space. I’d rather just keep OEL for at least another season and play him in the 3rd pair. Managing his minutes would hopefully improve his play, and if he ends up back on the LTIR, perhaps the Canucks can talk to him about LTIRment so he can collect his money in peace and we can have the space back. Otherwise, if he’s still terrible by the end of the season, yeah maybe a buyout at that point. Just the more time they can kill on the contract, the lesser the years for the hit in the buyout. Every year bought out counts for two years in cap penalties. Next season the cap isn’t going to go up much again, but it has to eventually, and the closer we can be patient until then, I think the better

  13. Because they failed to address the cap, management is back itself into a corner for next season and will need that low cap hit on OEL $146k and $2.4m. Unfortunately $4.7 and $4.7 will hurt but cap should be increased enough to cover it. If they wait until following season, they lose that ultra low cap hit $146k and jump right into $2.0m and so on. I have so little faith in this current regime that they’re just gonna take the easy way out aka. Also known as the Benning way.

  14. The Canucks…the team that never learns. They waited years to get rid of Eriksson's contract only to replace it with OEL's. Just when you think the new management wouldn't do the same thing, they sign JT Miller to a long extension 🤣. People that think JT's contract is going to age well are the same people that think this team will be a contender next year. There was a reason why they couldn't move Miller last year, nor this year at the deadline.

This team has no idea how to properly manage their assets. They just turn into millions of dollars worth of liabilities.

  15. Send him to the AHL. Cap hit of half his salary x4 years is way better.
