That could mean that paty Kaine could go to the sens
W for both teams. Sens get 4.5M in cap space and the hawks get a 2nd. Sens still have that caps 2nd rounder from the Connor brown trade as well.

Hawks get a 2nd, likely mid 40’s, in a good draft and a tank commander that will help them reach the floor.
Ottawa frees 4.5M in cap space this year and next, which is crucial to signing DeBrincat. Could’ve made it work before but woulda left next to no room to make other improvements.
4th is whatever since it’s in 2026. That’s a 14 year old kid right now. Even if they pick a good player, he wouldn’t be a contributed until 2029.
2nd round pick is honestly fair value. Canucks traded a 2nd to get rid of Dickinson’s contract and Flames a 1st for Monahan.
