  1. So basically the Rangers get a 2024 UNPROTECTED 1st. I don't think the Stars finish in the top 22.

  2. Odds are the they're trading Lindell or Suter to have enough cap space to sign Robertson long term. They must feel Lundkvist is capable of filling in top 4 role now and can part with an expensive veteran.

  3. ill go ahead and say it 1st rounders are overrated yes they can work obviously but theres no guarantee EVER its not like the nfl where every first rounder plays anything after 10 even in a deep draft is a fucking shitshow

  4. Can you do a video on Jake Virtanen? I'm not sure what to think as an oilers fan

  5. Bruh did dallas actually pay a 1st rounder for a former #28th pick. Kid doesn't even seem that good.

  6. Would Dallas also like to acquire Vesalinin from the Jets? Former first rounder, probably worth two second rounders? Lol

  7. Lundkvist looked slightly "deer in headlights:" when he played. Excellent shot but didn't take many & missed the net a lot, Great skater but smaller ice for dmen here than Sweden & he's not big. D is toughest position for rookies in NHL & he didn't appear confident like Zac Jones when he played.

  8. Only thing I think about when NYR do these things is Sergei Zubov. He led the 94 cup winning team in pts. not Leetch or Messier. Traded him less 2 yrs later to in div rival PITT. He turns out to be HOF er . NYR had 2 offensively gifted Dmen & in 56 yrs watching hockey, I can't recall many if any teams having 2 dangerous scoring D who end up HOF. Ridiculous so I can't exactly root for Lundkvist to become great.

  9. I love Dallas seeing a quality player and deciding that they're going to be a +average team with their addition in Nils.

  10. Who knows if DAL overpaid at this point – the kid has barely played in the league. BTW, Zubov ended up in DAL where he showed his HOF qualities for good number of yrs. So hope not deja vu for the NYR but wouldn't be surprised.

  11. "Lundkvist traded to Dallas"
    – Yeah that is a fun title for a Rangers trade, though it is true!
(Hmm but Henrik spelled his name Lundqvist, with q instead of k )

  12. Yet another player who doesnā€™t want to compete for a position and refuses the possibility of playing for the Rangersā€™ minor league in Hartford. I always liked Zac Jonesā€™ game better than Lundkvist.

  13. Hughes would tell the media he could play goalie if they asked. Really don't see how a guy who can barely hold his own defensively on his strong side could be in any way effective on his off side.

  14. We just replaced Klingberg on the right and Miro can now return to his natural side because we have 3 right handed D men. šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

  15. thg never shows any real biasy but hes starting to sound like a real fanboy when it comes to robertsonšŸ¤£

  16. High price for Lundqvist but just what the Stars need in their prospect pool.

Pretty big risk but I donā€™t mind it for Dallas.

  17. I'm a Flyers fan and if Coots is out, there is ZERO chance of them doing anything this season. I didn't have much hope to begin with. This franchise is run terribly from top to bottom right now.

  18. Lundqvist is still a great prospect he just doesn't fit into the Rangers lineup anymore. They don't need offensive talent or power play time from a Dman, which is why I think they are sold on their other young Dmen. A first round pick seems high but Lundqvist still has a lot of upside and potential.

  19. Its a 50/50 split. Rangers got him thru early development, it takes 3-5 years from really good defenseman to mature.
The other side of 50/50 split will the future #1 pick work out ? Not all first rounders make it in the NHL

  20. Henrik back after heart trouble. I thought that was it. Washington trading him cause they dont want damaged goods sending it to Dallas.

  21. NOTD – PKS announces retirement. Good riddance. But don't be surprised to see him shovelling the woke BS with Ron Maclean on HNIC

  22. An underrated, potential benefit that I've seen on various spots regarding the Nils trade is that by adding another right handed defenseman, it makes it easier to get Miro on his more dominant left side. Honestly, even if this trade leads only to a RD that pairs with well with Miro, I'll be pretty happy with it.

  23. It sucks he wanted out but I get why Lundkvist did. Glad NYR got a solid haul, wishing him the best in Dallas, he should be really good for years to come.

  24. Well there goes the Flyers season before it even started. Good work Fletch by relying on hope that all players would be healthy at the start of the season. Ellis, Farabee, Brink and now Coots. Chuck needs to go ASAP

  25. Poor asset management for Dallas as they could have just paid Klingberg and kept their draft pics. And some Canucks fans thought offering Hoglander was going to be enough šŸ¤”

  26. a 1st Round Pick for Nils? That's a good return and he gets a real shot at regular NHL game time. Both sides win, I wish the kid the best.

  27. Re: Anisimov, it probably also helps that Tortorella is familiar with him from their time in Columbus a few years back. As I recall, Torts liked Artem – he just ended up signing elsewhere for more term/$ than CBJ wanted to give (given the young forwards pushing for ice time).
