To expand, Morgan also reported that it wouldnt be surprising for both Cooley and Guenther to start next year in Tucson to further develop and gain chemistry before getting consistent time with the big club.
GM Armstrong would rather overbake players than needlessly force them into a lineup, especially when we arent going to be competing for anything again next year.

That’s how the red wings do it and they are a consistently good team aside from the last few years. Their rookies spend a few years at least in the minors.
