Gutsy win. Rough start, but the boys rallied with two top players absent. Matthews had a classic Matthews goal, Bunting came in clutch when we needed him, and Sammy held down the fort through the rougher parts of the game. Come back to Toronto, practice a bit with the new guys, and then bring the 3rd period’s energy against Edmonton.
Beat them without 2.5 top 6 players ( Matthews was playing with one leg, dude could barely skate). I don’t know why but New Jersey doesn’t scare me that much. Leafs must just match up well or something.

I am loving this win…Hung in the game and found a way after being shorthanded for the first 6 minutes of the 3rd! Best of all is watching the doomposters and crybabies eat their words again. So many “fans” who seem to hope for losses just so they can gnash their teeth and rant and rave.

Bunting was the best
Best part of that game is that Matthews scored on a wrist shot. We need him sniping to have a chance. Hope whatever is bothering him can be overcome for the next couple of months.
Huge game from Samsonov, Papi, Mitch and Willy come up clutch with the other big boys up front out. Even a sick Kampf setup, you love to see it

Holl’s pass on the Bunting goal will keep him in the lineup for the rest of time.
We as a fan base needed this win since the boys aren’t playing til Saturday. Let’s hope they can carry this type of energy against the Oilers.

Does any other team drive the oddsmakers nuts more than the Leafs? They lose to one of the worst teams in the league then come back and beat one of the best without two of their top three centers.

Anyone who was at the game what was the chant that broke out a couple times? It sounded like “Lets Go Devils Leafs suck?” Or was it You Suck? IDK but looked like a decent turn out for Leaf fans in Jersey!
