Well that ending couldn’t have been any more predictable.

  2. NorthernDragon5

Tank commander Jesperi Kotkaniemi reporting for duty

  3. Instantcurry

If Pez was in the Shootout, we wouldve won

Poetic justice, good for KK. I always liked him and still think he has solid 2C potential. But I don’t think we get Dach if we keep him, all’s well.

Otherwise, 1 point is better than 2 points in my books. Minor bump for the tank. And Belzile apparently heard y’all talking shit and is “developing” well! I really think he can be a solid 4C for a couple years while Beck/Kidney develop.

Suzuki just cannot be stopped in the shootout

He’s going to be Canada’s Oshie/Kovalchuk next time NHL players participate

  6. JesperoPackeryammy12

Mike Matheson plays fun hockey. Love him

  7. bordercauley

Frustrating game. 4th liners getting us to a shootout and getting us a useless point just to lose to a Kotkaniemi goal lol. Everything about the team just feels kind of empty at this point.

  8. CheetahLynx83

That was the worst OT 3-on-1 I’ve ever seen.

That was a pretty good game, but Victor Findlay’s commentating just sucked the life out of me for the whole thing. Bring back Bryan.

  9. BillyShears19

Ah, 1 point. The perfect compromise for tankers and habs-cheerers, right? RIGHT??

    Frustrating.

Just frustrating that we will keep racking points we absolutely should not be, and end up picking bottom 7-10 (likely closer to 10 than 7). Instead of having picked Bottom 5, which could either be us winning lottery thanks to better odds, or even if not, at least be in the range of the Top 5 prospects of this draft. Such a fucking useless point. This season will go to waste and will inevitably result in a shit hockey product for the next couple seasons because of it (hyperbole but some truth to it).

It should go without saying players don’t tank, but so dissapointing to see us always be ~5 pts within bottom 5, and then just win out/go OT and widen the gap. Ever since All-Star Break, we threw the chance of picking top in the draft by going on random win streaks.

Anyway, ~20 ish games before season ends. Can’t wait till we punt this whole season and find out during draft day if we’re gonna get a top pick or end up middle of the pack. Can’t say I see us being better in the very near future, more like we will ramp up and maybe be good 4/5 years from now.

On the other hand, Suzuki is so sick on the shootout and KK scoring the GWG is just ironic

I don’t see how the Canes can get through the 1st round, they struggled against us…

  12. Canes fans are so obsessed with us, it’s insane lmao

    *BAD*

    – I honestly haven’t been following the games enough to do these and idk just hard when so many players are out and the team is near the basement. It’d be one thing if everyone was playing.

    – Super nit picky Nothing against him he is playing really well lately. Players I would put in the shootout before Josh Anderson: Jake Allen, MSL himself, Alex Burrows, and the Pokémon geodude or any other Rock type because the hands are the same.

    – Kotkaniemi really of course.

    *GOOD*

    – Overtime was quite the adventure for this player but honestly Matheson is fun. He definitely fits here and if you pair him with a stay at home guy I think he’s a pretty good player for any team to have.

    – Pezetta has done a 180 on the season. First half I would have thought he wouldn’t be on the Habs beyond this season but he’s really playing well and a 200ft gritty game.

    – Belzile I’ve always been a fan of. I think as a fourth liner he has a place in the league.

    – Tierney quietly not a bad pickup.

    – This is weird because objectively he hasn’t worked out here. But If you can get Drouin on a cheap deal id welcome him back. He still has his moments of the talent that had him drafted where he was.

    – Suzuki is the best shootout player in the league.

Guys I want a coveted top player this year. Really one of the top 3 guys. A big C would be fantastic for our future, but man did tonight make me miss big game hockey. These guys are fun to watch.

The rumors of Jonathan Drouin’s demise have been greatly exaggerated.

  15. ApokatastasisPanton

Lol, Kotkaniemi still hasn’t beat his first year career high of 34 points

  16. zionistmilly

what a shot by Jesperi. Can’t say the kid couldn’t shoot

  17. KoreanPhones

I want to give KK a big hug for that. That damn smile of his.

  18. BillyShears19

RHP is an absolute puckhound, love this guy. Wonder if he’ll stick with number 49 assuming he makes the team next year…

  19. Somebody please post the meme with KK and 9 fingers. Thanks.

  20. It’s really funny watching those “contenders” fanbases lose their shit because we keep the score within 1 in the 3rd.

  21. 1 point against a team that should’ve trashed us. I’ll take it.

  22. Decent game, 1 point is acceptable and Yotes also won so 3 points from 5th last

  23. Olibro64

Why oh why did it have to be Kotka???????

Anyways Suzuki is still the boss of the shootout.
