Baggedmilk on #theLOCKERROOM: Facing the Bruins, Evander Kane's return, and Jack Campbell

Happy Wednesday, Internet friends, and welcome to yet another chapter of your ol’ pal Baggedmilk’s adventures in radio. As I do every week, I jumped on the air with the boys on The Locker Room for a quick segment to talk about the Oilers while also offering my takes on anything else that’s going on in the world.

To kick off this week’s segment, we got started with a look at the Boston Bruins who are absolutely dominating the NHL this season. Winners of their last 10 games, the Bruins are going to give the Oilers all they can handle, but that doesn’t mean the boys are D.O.A. before the game even gets started. When these two teams met up last week, the Oilers played the Bruins very hard and that tells me that tomorrow’s game could be closer than some people think. We also talked about Evander Kane’s return and whether or not he’ll be back in the lineup tomorrow or Saturday after suffering broken ribs on February 17th against the New York Rangers. While we don’t know exactly when he’ll get back in the lineup, there’s little doubt that the Oilers miss him on the ice. One guy that may not see a whole lot of ice time, however, is Jack Campbell who continues to struggle for the Oilers in his first season with the club. In his last five starts, Campbell hasn’t mustered a save% over .900 and that’s nowhere near good enough for a guy making the kind if smoke he’s pulling in. Lastly, we wrapped up this week’s segment with some love for Warren Foegele as the forward has really cranked up his level of play over the last couple of months. After a slow start to the year, McLovin is really rolling right now and the Oilers are going to need him to keep it going down the stretch.

  1. Ya jack Campbell is the biggest disappointment in the league and yet his replacement in Toronto has 6 less wins this season and is being paid 1.25 million more than Campbell…and let's not talk about huberdeau in Calgary.
