It’s needed depth at the bottom 6 for cheap. He’ll help defensively which has been a problem aswell as the PK. I like the move and as a pens fan that’s about the only good thing I can say about hextall

He's not gonna replace O'Connor, he's been awesome. My guess would be that maybe Carter moves down to 4C or moves to wing and Bonino plays 3C, either him or O'Connor, but Sully has options
Sharks won by trading him away. Very accomplished career and good dude, but his game has fallen off a cliff. He cannot keep up with the speed of the game. He was stealing opportunities from younger players on the Sharks. Maybe he’ll rejuvenate in Pittsburgh, but man was it rough in SJ.
I mean at this point let’s resign Jagr!😂 we can wheel his old ass out to the ice every day 🤦♂️🤯. He would score more probably!

Everyone's been complaining about Carter's speed, so they go out and get 2 guys almost as old.
I actually used to love Bonino, and was sad to see him go. Glad he is back.
Ultimately they replace Kapanen with Granlund.
Granlund's down season this year is about the best you could've hoped Kapanen to be… and he not that good.
They replaced Blueger with Bonino.
At best Blueger is as good as Bonino is.. still.
They sent Mcginn to the minors, but come playoff time they can call him up.
Not home run trades, but they're an improvement and on paper it looks good.
Granlund, Bonino and Carter can all play center or wing. Plus you have DOC too.

Christ, might as well get EJ back behind the bench and sign Bourque at this point. Rutherford gutted one of the best farm systems in the league- WB/S is a desert now.
