  1. Kaliyev just like Caufield is far and away the 2 best snipers in the draft. Just like Caufield they both are risky picks especially if either is taken in the top 15. His skating and compete level both will need to improve to be an NHLer. I would assume one of the late 1st round teams will roll the dice on him.

  2. There's no chance trevor timmins draft these kind of player's …an opportunistic sniper .Maybe cole caufield for more hard work .No more scherbakian players for Timmins .Kaliyev is the kind of players you take at the end of the first round like Joe Veleno last year .At 15th your looking at players slip out of the top ten like Mathew Barzal .

  3. Sounds like another interesting possibility. I have to say this drat looks potentially really good even at 15th overall. Wouldn't be my top pick, but it all depends on the first 14 picks before ours. I have an theory you might find interesting, maybe even video worthy. Patrick Roy participated in the ceremony honouring the 93 cup winning team at the beginning of the season, he was at several games the year before. The Habs destroyed the Red Wings 10-1 on the anniversary of the worst day in franchise history (according to most fans). It seems like that wound has healed both for St. Patrick and the vast majority of fans. Geoff Molson had nothing to do with his departure. Now Roy has shown he is at the very least interested in returning to the NHL in some fashion. I don't think he will ever coach the Habs, and possibly any team for that matter. He was not hugely successful in Colorado. However I think he could make a perfect President of Hockey Operations in Montreal. I believe he could make it acceptable to have a GM who is not bi-lingual as he could fill the public relations role. I know its not a model anyone else uses, but Montreal is a unique place with unique challenges. Perhaps a unique solution is needed. I'm neither pro or anti-Bergevin but the flexibility Molson has is limited when the GM has to speak a second language that only a handful of GM's and potential GM's do. I fully understand the complicated history behind the issue. I get why fans expect to have a GM who can speak to them in their first language but it's limiting none the less. What are your thoughts? GO HABS GO!!!

  4. I got to watch Kaliyev play this season and I agree he is a great sniper but needs to work on his skating and I believe he needs to work on his presence defensively as well as his battling. But his shooting is second to none in the OHL. Was lucky enough to meet him last season.
