Couldn’t help but notice the lack of camaraderie in Pacioretty’s Habs. There just isn’t any connect between Patches and his boys.
Compare this with the great man himself – Suzuki. Suzuki KNOWS his team, his boys. Suzuki knows what you liked to eat. Suzuki knows how many broads you shagged last summer. Suzuki knows if your left nut weighed more than your right.
You see, Suzuki isn’t afraid of challenging the highly held standard of Men’s hockey. Suzuki isn’t afraid of having a skinny dip with his boys. If you had a bad day on the ice, Suzuki isn’t afraid of making you sit in his lap and run his hands through your hair, even if you were the big man Joel Edmundson himself. Suzuki isn’t afraid to take you to a hot shower, take off his towel, look you directly in the eye and tell you what’s wrong with your technique all while both of y’all’s balls sweated out in the open air.
Pacioretty on the other hand, is a pretty likeable bloke but I’d be surprised if he’s even added to the boys’ WhatsApp group. I just don’t see him as the fatherly figure to his boys as Suzuki is to his. I see the Habs team under Pacioretty and I see everything – success, intent, aggression, passion… everything but a sense of love and dare I say – erotic love, that is a must to make a team as great as Suzuki’s squad.
