  1. If O'Rielly can't get the Leafs past the first round, it might be time to just give up.

  2. ORielly also helps get winning done even when he's not scoring. I will give Dubas credit. It was a great trade. I'm critical of him a lot.

  3. Leafs have lost 7 straight 1st round playoffs series. Who cares if they get past the past the 1st round. If they don't get to the Stanley Cup finals they become that team that couldnt get to the big show. ROR is a opportunistic player where he doesn't want to be the main man but a secondary piece. Binnington had a awesome playoffs during the Blues Stanley Cup run.

  4. My worry is the the goalie, jeez he let's in weak goals.
Leafs could have won 5-0 but then Ryan would not get the hatty, this 1 game I'll give Samsonov a pass but jeez those are weak goals

  5. For the long time Leaf fans. Is it just me or does he look like Wendel C. out there. In terms of his stride and shooting style.

  6. A "statement game"…against Buffalo. A game that "makes a statement"…against Buffalo. If it was against an actual NHL-calibre hockey team, then perhaps it being a "statement game" would make sense. But Sportsnet calls it a "statement game"…against a team like Buffalo.
Sportsnet is like Fox News…they pretend to be an actual (sports) news outet but continually try maintain a "narrative" that suits their agenda, and that agenda is nothing more than promoting the Laffs and ONLY the Laffs…the most pathetic team the NHL has ever seen. What an absolute joke of a broadcaster and a hockey franchise.

  7. I live in St Louis- O’Reilly could be a 90 point guy if he didn’t value defense so much. O’Reilly is better than Bergeron. He makes whoever he plays with WAY better- he made David Perron into an all star, and Zach Sanford (who is barely still in the league) a top 6 player- and O’Reilly always does it with good body language and positivity. He also plays biggest in the biggest moments. Casual analysts say he’s a slow skater- but it doesn’t matter he’s so smart he’s always on the puck. There’s plenty of lighting fast guys who always seem a step behind because they’re never where they should be.

  8. Very happy for O'Reilly. Imagine a hat trick on the opposition home Ice. What's even stranger is the Buffalo Fans throwing the caps. Ryan was added to Toronto during the trade with St. Louis. First with Colorado. Buffalo. St. Louis. And now Toronto

  9. LOL O'Reilly already peaked. The funniest franchise in sports. The first round exit is going to sting this year.
