  1. Blues been like this for years. The only reason we won the cup was Bennington was Red hot stopping everything. You have a goalie covering up your mistakes everyone looks better.

  2. Playing with grit and inspiration is one thing but most of all you need to know how to play hockey. This comment from the coach is just an old way to see the hockey game like you are good at hockey if your nose bleed…The ithing is that nose bleeding alone is not enough to win hockey games. Yoo need to have the talent and the right way to play together.

  3. Gotta agree with the coach. The way the better teams are playing now, you have to be a 100% effort and then some or you'll get smoked. I'd love to see STL do well.

  4. Not making playoffs, losing key players due to trades or injury, shouldn't stop professional players from giving it all they have to win each game. The fans deserve better and want to see a good game…a fun game. We are not called Die-hard fans for nothing. Your band-wagoners only come to games when the team is winning. Your true and loyal fans are there for the team, cheering, no matter what. Play hard, with heart and grit, for the loyal fans! don't give up on us. I am not a Blues fan, but every team has been there.

  5. Bluue was one of the best teams years ago. A team you were scared to play now, you can pencil in 2 points.

  6. Imagine belichick telling the press his players have no guts, overpaid spoiled brats, this guy should be fired, you really think players should respect this guy.

  7. I 100000% agree with his statement. If Thomas disagrees he needs a reality check. No pun intended. Kyrou and Thomas are now the leaders of this team with that huge contract. I'm sure they are playing hard but they are not showing leadership and that's what this team needs right now. We need our top players to consistently play their game. We are lost as a team.

  8. I think as a head coach he’s 100 percent correct. As far as calling certain players out he’s right. Their getting paid money for a job. It’s not about the name on the back of the jersey its about the crest on the front. Pride should make you step up. When younger players open their mouths then there is obviously a problem. It’s not a headcoach but a player problem. Look in the mirror and honestly say I gave my best effort tonight. No matter what these players are very privileged to play in this league. Show the fans that you gave it your best

  9. This is a hail mary and he isn't going to win a battle against two guys the Blues just committed to on long-term contracts. He's getting fired.

  10. I don't think this is even up to be debated. Blame WILL fall on him as the coach no matter what. If I'm him, I'm not interested in taking all the heat. I will throw my team under the bus for playing like shit

  11. Chief is not responsible for the horrible contract decisions this team has made as of late. He’s been trying to light a fire under these guys all season. He’s trying to make lemonade out of lemons but all he’s getting is vinegar.

  12. There's a world of difference between playing hard and losing, versus not caring or really even showing up. Look at Torts in Philly. They're losing a lot of games but Torts is sticking by them because he knows they're busting their tails.

  13. I hate the Blues and dislike Berube, but I don't think it's worth the risk calling out your group like that… The Blues are clearly selling/rebuilding and that's gotta be tough as a player to be in that environment and then you add Berube's comments on top of that, it's gotta sting and one good way to lose the room. Oh well….

  14. Absolutely right #berube! Players standing on the faceoff dot watching an opponent with the puck on the circle. Wtf??? Go buy a ticket if you wanna watch a game. Millions of dollars to PLAY. So PLAYYYYYYYYYYYYY

  15. When the only player on your team willing to stand up for themselves or teammates is your 150lb goalie, what do you expect him to say? Jordan Kyrou has almost single handedly tanked this entire franchise. He is the absolute dumbest hockey player I have ever seen. And we had Nail Yakapov here for a season.

  16. (Trades away entire team): common guys you’re not playing inspired hockey…

  17. I think if Berube had just been a little more complimentary and motivational towards his team's potential at the end of this little speech, then it might have had a positive effect. However, he basically just lost all respect from his players and now he has a hill to climb. The coach needs to lead with a better example and make it his responsibility to mold a leader on his team. Lifelong Blues fan here.

  18. Big Mistake Coach: I know it’s always temping to just let it all out, but NO! Coaching 101 says: Praise in Public, Chastise in Private. Ouch! Now it’s gonna take even longer! 🏒🤠🏒

  19. BARUBAY. Maybe learn how to pronounce the name if you're going to make a video about him?
