“An improbable win for the Islanders in Pittsburgh!” 🥳😱

The New York Islanders found themselves down by one in the final minutes of regulation, but their captain Anders Lee made a sweet redirect that kept the game going into overtime. In OT, Islanders player Brock Nelson got a breakaway and netted a goal, giving the Islanders a 4-3 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

  1. You know, just the fact that it was in Pittsburgh meant that it really wasn't improbable. The Islanders own the Penguins.

  2. uhh yea, too many men for NY? anyone see that in OT? nah of course not..doesn't matter anyway. Cant score against Pgh 5 on 5. good luck in the playoffs..if u get there

  3. Let's see if we can give up a 2 goal lead at home and lose in 7 minutes. Throw in allowing 2 breakaways in OT.
    Penguins "That is child's play!"

  4. Islanders haven't won anything since 1983..but if a regular season win against Pittsburgh gets ya'll hype like this than it shows how bad u have been for a half a century..

  5. With the way they’re playing right now, I just can’t wait to see how they do once Barzal and Pageau come back. LGI what a win!

Boy… talk about history repeating itself.

  7. Cry about it nhl. A win is a win. Isles were down 3-1 with a little time left. Nhl likes to makes things less impressive when it comes to the islanders.
