[Canucks] “Millsy had two great shots. That overtime winner was a bullet. At morning skate today, I had to kick him off the ice. He must’ve shot 75 pucks today. Hard work pays off.”

I would have *loved* to see JT Miller do this at the start of the year instead of in the wake of March during meaningless games.

That OT winner was an insane shot, but I feel like I’m in the exact same position as last year. I have such high hopes for next season because we’re starting to heat up again.. even though I’ve been tricked so many times before I feel like I haven’t learned my lesson.

This is just a weird fucking team. You look at the core pieces and their offensive numbers and you would think they’re a playoff team, but they’re obviously not. The weak blueline and Demko’s injury fucked us. The off season will be interesting. We need to add another top 4 defenseman, a 3rd line center, and add a proven backup goalie. I think we can make the playoffs next season with a stronger blueline and healthy Demko. Offensively this team took a huge step and I expect us to make the playoffs next season.

  4. Listen, I would have preferred the JT Miller redemption arc next season so we could tank better, but he’s at least proving to the fans (that forgot how good he was last season) that he’s still really good.

Then why is it that when I hit 75 golf balls at the driving range I don’t improve at all?

Hard work during the offseason pays off too so your team doesn’t start 0-7.

His best hockey is usually in the second half of the season when he’s warmed up.

Fuck you miller sincerely. Why do you only decide to turn it on and give a fuck in march when we’re out of the race. Why do you stumble into October looking apathetic and lacking conditioning. Why why why. I want so bad for this miller to show up day 1 next year but fool me twice…

Canucks start poorly, lose key piece to injury

Start efforts of tanking in hopes of landing blue chip prospect

Fire head coach, bring in new coach

Team starts winning under new coach, returning injured player, weaker schedule —> YOU ARE HERE

End up picking 10-15th overall, miss out on blue chip prospect and player, buy into hopium of late season surge

    Loop back to step 1

“He must have taken 75 shots today” I swear I take 200+ shots in my basement after I’ve had a couple beers. If only JT had my work ethic.

Same crap he did last year it’s easy to score goals w zero pressure
