Doesn't sound like you are giving to much credit to Vegas. They were right there with TB and had our guys in the same mix (if not even more). Absolutely loved seeing Perry getting his neck dragged around. Not to mention…..we won both meetings against Tampa Bay. In other words, VGK is the new relative and heaven help ANY Team (Including Boston) who ends up playing against us in the Finals
Why did you name only the TBL players and called the VGK players "the other guy". Vegas is a great team with a better overall record than the Lightning. The Media seems to always dismiss the Western teams, I'm a little tired of it.
I hope they let this go when the playoffs start instead of coming down on it with extra penalties it’s fun when you see this in hockey
The scrums are awesome and you’re right. They do have an impact.
Of course it had an impact. It changes the momentum of the flow and gives everyone — player and fan, and increased engagement with what’s happening. And you’re absolutely right that it’s a blast to watch this level of play. Hands down, so much fun.
Old time hockey? Not without the Hansen brothers.
If there are moral victories in hockey, for Tampa this was a moral victory. They played their style of hockey, their stars showed up (except for Vasy he had a rough night), and they never really gave up. Vegas is a very good team and it was a tight game.
I want more real brawls where guys square off and fight. When’s the last time we had a real 5 V 5?
"This was playoff hockey" except no one ever fights in the playoffs.
More than a fight sometimes
How can these scrums not? Vegas was fired up at the beginning of the third after the scrum at the end of the second and scored 2. Tampa was fired up after the scrum in the third that led to two goals of their own. Sometimes players need a little kick in the ass to get going.
Nothing like a good scrum.
This type of game wakes VGK up. Most nights they are relatively gentle and relaxed, the least penalized team in the league.
i was at the game and it was such an electric atmosphere (no pun intended ⚡️) so many fights and so many scoring opportunities and the final few minutes in the 3rd felt like a cup finals game, a shame we couldn't clutch up in the end.
I miss some aspects of old time hockey…these scrums bring a team together and show passion. I miss the intense rivalries.
Totally. Scrums and fights totally sway games. Intimidation and violence is at the heart of hockey. Always has been. That's not to say that you can just beat the hell out of another team to win, you gotta have guys that can do both. IE Tampa Colorado Boston both New York teams. Toronto if they can play like the previously mentioned.
A team like Detroit isn't winning anytime soon. And Philly is the opposite of Detroit.
Chippy bunch Tampa cheap shots galore and always bitching kucherev alone crying to the refs always prima donna
What would Tampa do without Maroon? SUCK LESS, that's what
Notice Perry taking a cheap shot at the guy he was perched over as the ref is tapping him? That's why he deserves everything he gets. He's a disrespectful ass that needs to get tuned properly.
EDDIE SHORE?!?!?!?!?!
Any time Vegas is getting its faces punched, America wins.
So I have been a fan of the NHL since the late sixties. Never could wrap my brain around the idea of these guys fighting on the ice until I played hockey. I played all the other sports too but never wanted to kill anyone. Hockey is it's own separate animal because I am here to tell you that you get so wrapped up in the game that as soon as you feel slighted, you want to take the other guy's head off. It is just the way it is and the league is smart to allow the boys to allow their frustrations or anger or whatever it may be to boil over. It is just part of the game and we fans want it to remain part of the game because the players absolutely need to vent once in a while.
The Lightning have struggled as of late, this just may be the difference in their season
I just strated watching hockey last playoffs, love your channel. And yes, these fights 100% affect the outcome of the game, easy to see
I was there. Everyone in the stands loved it too. Makes you wonder why all these jokers keep claiming fighting is bad for the sport when literally EVERY metric says otherwise…
I liked Jeannot basically tossing McNabb off of him in some aikido move. Jeannot is a monster.
This is why John Cooper is a dumb fuck…why the hell would you ever bench your 3 star players let alone in a 3rd period
