Carolina has the complete opposite way of doing business than the Canucks. They are shrewd, patient and take on no-brainer trades and build thru the draft. If Waddell suddenly became braindead.. the only way Canucks should do this deal for Miller is: KK (Salary Dump) + RHD (Morrow) + 2023 1st Rounder (lower pick less value).
This would be a good start. We would also need, there too Defense prospect and their first rounder.
Trade deadline has passed what are you doing
i totally agree with you. 23 yo,, 4.8 till 29-30, 30 points. right age and he's going to get better. should get a pick or 2 as well. my only concern is that would make a very soft canuck team without miller.
LOL maybe if they give us a top 2 d with it.
Big No😅🤣🤣😂🤣🤣🤣
Carolina doesn't want his contract. The Canes have a winning foundation built on teamwide effort and discipline. KK fits right in – finishes checks, wins board battles, back-checks, etc. The Canucks have a front office (and fans, it seems, based on other comments) that overvalues pieces like JT Miller and a record that shows it.
Kotkaniemi is not even a 2nd line centre. So that would leave Pettersson as the number 1 centre. Who is going to be the 2nd line centre? If Kotkaniemi was a 2nd line centre than yes, but he's not so this doesn't make sense.
Considering how I hate the hurricanes but KK is one of my favorite players in the league, I would be really happy if this trade happened
Jesper Bust no DEAL,Necas for Miller was in the Deal
You must be love drunk Lego….the dates must be going REALLLLLLY well for you to go down this pathway :-0
Pesce kk for Miller
What who. Lol.
Miller is in van so his play is under a microscope, Miller plays the same as kucherov , he hardly moves on the back check when he is upset the same way. No one will complain when the Canucks are winning . 8 mil is a good deal for a guy with a shot like that. Hits, plays center . Alvin just gave him the contract, trading him would mean he admits to making a mistake . They won’t move him unless it’s for a really good young c
What makes sense is keeping Miller. He's well worth his $8M contract and he's in the prime of his career.
This makes as much sense as Miller becoming a defenseman
I would rather keep Miller
STOP with video game screen!!!!! Its STUPID!!!!!
Interesting topic legorocks hmmmm
As a Habs fan: LMFAO, but i completely understand trying to get out of the Miller contract…😅
He has a lot of term, not too far off his contract so it depends what else is coming back. Milsy is game changer, and hard to play against. That is hard to replace. I favour moving out what is not working for you and trying something else. Milsy is not part of the problem.
If they take KK and his contract, CAR must include a high draft pick as sweetener. If KK doesn’t work out, then we can buy him out at only 1/3. So we have a couple years to experiment him until he’s 25.
hughes and petty are not sticking around for a rebuild. So this makes no sense.
Ngl this page has literally the worst takes ever. You’d think with all this spare time you’d know at least some puck 🤣. KK is a bottom tier 3rd line centre
Before I watch and listen to your logic I will say NO WAY. My reason, if you're building a team to make the playoffs, build a playoff team. A playoff team does not include a bunch of light weights. A Rick Tocchet team does not include a bunch of light weights. Jesperii Kotkaniemi is not a player with grit and "truculence" (pardon the Burkie quote). JT Miller is IMO exactly what I would consider a playoff built player, both physically and mentally. If the Canucks can ever build a team in the next few seasons that can actually compete and go deep (if not all the way) in the playoffs, players like JT Miller will find themselves in the rafters when all is said and done.
I'd rather have a much younger player like KK than Miller. At least there's a hope in hell of teaching Jesperi how to play defence.
