The streaking Kings beat the defending Stanley Cup champs for their 5th straight win. I’ll tell you why we should REALLY be excited about this win (there actually more than one reason). That’s next on this edition of Locked on LA Kings.

Trade Durzi keep Spence.
How is Fiala doing
Thanks for the Kings video/podcast, Eddie. As far as Kings' toughness, TMac says they are tough in the sense they check well and are aggressive with their sticks. They do get punk'd a fair amount. I agree there should have been a response to Durzi being hit twice that last game, especially the one that knocked him out of the game. And when MacKinnon bowled over Korpisalo, there should have been a physical response by a King in order to protect our goalies. Kings are a finesse team with speed & skill which worries me for the playoffs when games get more physical & gritty. Glad we have MacEwan, a heavyweight compared to Lemieux who is a middle weight. Hope Fiala isn't injured much at all & returns very soon.
Korpisalo should be our starting Goalie come playoffs. That being said, if (and that's a big if) the Kings end up winning the cup this year, Copley should get just as much credit as Korpi. He saved this season for us, and we as Kings fans should never forget that. Dude came in and got wins as a third string, when our 10 mil Goalie tandem nearly tanked the season. He is a true King, and I would love for him to be our backup for the foreseeable future. I'm also totally fine with Korpisalo having a short leash in the playoffs, because Copley has earn the trust of this team, and it's fans. Love our Goalie situation right now which is not a statement I did not think I'd be saying 4 months ago.
Kings are 10-2-1 since the all star break. Gotta get healthy and fine tune the roster.
Quick needs 3 more wins to pass Vanbeisbrouk for 2nd in NHL wins all time by an American born goalie.
I don't want to see Vegas win but they have 17 games left. They aren't going to go 0 for 17 so as long as Quick only need 3 more wins i would be fine with seeing Quick get them.
