The Canucks scored three goals in the first five minutes of the third period before letting the lead slip away in a 4-3 overtime loss to the Washington Capitals.

Quinn Hughes had 3 points, Alex Ovechkin was denied his goal, and the Canucks salvaged an important point.

    The refs are as much as a goof as Kuznetsov. A hit to the head and didn't leave the ice for concussion protocols. That was a dumb call. Myers got 2 mins for being tall.

    Also, I bet the team regrets not shooting on that late 3rd period PP

    What I liked: We were able to comeback from 2-0 in the 3rd period.

    What I didn't like: That call on Myers for being tall and the that late 3rd period PP where they didn't shoot the puck.

    I really liked how resilient the Canucks were and just kept on coming even though they had a lack luster and fluky start in the first. In my opinion the Canucks were the better team and they are really shaping up nicely. I really didn't like the officiating at all, most if not all the calls for and against the Canucks were sketchy at best but probably just favoured the Caps a little bit. Would have liked to see the Canucks really fire the puck at the net more with two and a half minutes to go with a power play but that's more of a learning experience for them to develop that killer instinct. The good news is they still managed to get a point and are only 3 points out of a playoff spot and plenty of hockey to be played yet. They are clearly back in the race big time. Should be fun from here on out. Really found that game entertaining. Bo had a really good game and would have like to see Bo, OEL, and Garland out there for O.T. as i thought they played about the best on the team that game.

    Crank! Didnt watch the game but gonna watch the recording of it later tonight. I was looking at the nhl app last night and i was surprised how resilient the team was despite the 2 goals early. Felt like this was a game that canucks just werent destined to win cuz of the puck luck. So im glad we salvaged at least a point there. After the game listening to the post-game interviews liked how leadership on the team is forming up. Hope the nucks can abuse the fact that TB is on the second half of a back to back on sunday and grind out a win. Also i wanna see either Rempal, Dries or even Bains get a skate in on the 3rd line in place of Chiasson. Chiasson has good presence in front of the net but struggles to keep up with Horvat and Podz on the zone entries.

    Refs really did blow at least 2 calls towards the end if the game but canucks waited to start playing until the 3rd yet again.

    Bad: Oshie tackle on Hughes at 5:13 left in the 3rd (just before the tying goal), Oshie left his feet and literally tackled him. No call!

    Liked Bo’s go ahead goal.
    Didn’t like Demko’s play play on OT goal, should have been a routine save for him. I thought he looked slow to react. Possibly fatigued,…good game tho’,…..
