Was at the game last night. As a long time jets fan the simple fact of the matter is this, our GM is awful and our right handed Defence are swiss cheese. For example giving Dylan Demelo 4 years at 3 million….. guy sucks. You dont win a cup with Demelo on your team. The Gm year over year fails to address the real issues and continues to be our manager. makes no sense. the fans are tired of the same old bullsh*t over and over and over again. No one is surprised here. The players in the room (per source) were very confised the GM didnt make any moves for D at the deadline. I fully understand why PLD or Helly would want to leave this organization that is OBSESSED with mediocrity.
Not just Calgary… Nashville plays the Jets next Saturday and before that they play Yotes, LA, Ducks, Red Wings and Chicago. They're 6pts back with 4gms in hand. If Forsberg was coming back right away instead of being more than day-to-day it would make things just as interesting.

Any loss or two can be explained by a hot goalie stopping everything, or a few bad bounces, but man something is not working for them right now.

it is obvious Chevy has to trade some players because he won't be able to sign them. So my question is: why didn't he go for it during the trade deadline (or weeks before the trade deadline)? I see it already…we have to wait for another good team to compete for the Cup…again. He should have stocked up during the trade deadline (or before it) and went for it.
The Jets are a good team, but I don't see real leaders there. This must be why they are not winning. Plus, the got swept I think by the Montreal Canadiens a couple years ago, in the playoffs, that's the same team basically. Again, hard to have good players to come.play in Winnipeg, I wouldn't touch much if I were them, and put all the money I can on a single player, a leader, somebody like maybe Matthews if possible, wich I doubt, but in Toronto, if they lose again this year in a bad way in the playoffs, prepare for some monumental whining and crying, and then, players get so frustrated, they end up traded, but not for cheap. And Winnipeg has plenty of bargaining assets, for example, that goalie also.

The game is definitely something to build off of. 50 shots is great. Keep it up. But there's still many issues they had throughout the game, pp was and has been horrific, and we're making defensive zone mistakes. If we can work on those and fix them, I can see them turning this around. Unfortunately for them their schedule coming up is the hardest all season, so they'll have to figure it out soon

As a Wild fan have you not seen how our goalies Gus The Bus and Flower have been on pure fire lately but we are wanting blood for that guy that straight up jumped on Kaprizov like and blanket and made him fall funny leaving Kaprizov out for 3-4 to weeks .. we want blood now
I’ve been saying it for at least a year now; The Jets are one bad Summer away from completely imploding. Scheifele, Wheeler, Dubois, even Hellebuyck… seems everyone is “available.” They’re a step away from a 2017 Sens tire sale.
As a a wild fan, it’s so hard to lose games you dominate. Our last two losses, the Calgary game and the Colorado game where we outshot the Ave’s 43-19 were reversals. Maybe the puck Gods will return the favor to the Jets as they deserved at least a point. It does however, come down to the goalies. We’ve been getting lights goalie performances, and are on a point streak, wonder why? Goaltending, like pitching, QB play is a deal maker or breaker. Go Jets, from a Wild fan.

The internal politics that is Hellebuyck is the biggest problem, Riddich is incredibly solid and is far more a veteran of the league than crazy eyes yet he's not given a chance. The bench crew are told from Chevy to play Hellebuyck regardless of his play, this has been more than obvious. At least Bones has the balls to pull him when he let's 4 goals in 5 shots.
