Three years ago, the Toronto Maple Leafs traded prospects Sean Durzi and Carl Grundstrom alongside a 2020 1st round pick—which was inevitably used to select Tobias Bjornfot—to the LA Kings in exchange for defenceman Jake Muzzin.

  1. I really like Muzzins play as a defensive defenceman he just needs a new consistant defence parter not Justin Holl

  2. Make one for the Campbell trade too, which is another Win-Win, and Kings might actually go up as the bigger winners. They got Moore, Lafferiere and Kirsanov from that deal, all look extremely promising.

  3. That was a good move back In 2019, but for the leafs and kings trade they should do this year is Holl for a pick or 2

  4. Lego, Durzi has been the surprise of the year! He is really, really good and improving. Total score on that one. Grundstrom is a productive utility forward and I believe we spent the first round draft pick on Toby Byrnfoot, whom I absolutely love on D.

  5. this was still a win for Tor at the time and now and for 2 more years, i cant complain of who went the other way cause they probably wouldnt have been Leafs.

  6. Durzi is a really nice guy. When I was in Carolina for the Canes Vs. Kings game, I got to warm ups late and Durzi was last on the ice. I pointed to him with my wife and he broke a stick and handed it off to us. It was a really awesome jesture and I’ve loved how him and Moore have been doing. We def got upside on this trade

  7. Grundy is a solid depth guy who knows the Kings and Reigns system.

They scored gold with Durzi and Bjornfot. A puck mover with power play potential and a steady puck defender who can play in all situations….at 20. Bjornfot won't even hit his prime for another 5 or 6 years.
