  1. Briere is the right man for the job. Young and smart GM who will breathe fresh air into the organization starting with good player development

  2. Another ex-Flyer? He'll be the 4th Ex-Flyer at the helm over the past 30+ years. Don't they see that this isn't working? And to make things more interesting: presuming the '3 Kings' aren't going anywhere, Briere will find out that he won't have the freedom and flexibility to do his job, as long as Clarkie, Holmgren, and that bastion of Hockey Talent…Billy Barber are allowed to roam the halls in the Front office…and call the 'shots' come draft time. Their prints are all over our draft selections over the past 10-15 years…their record speaks for itself.

Time to part ways, fellas…for the betterment of the team.

  3. A rebuild needs to happen, BUT you canā€™t do that missing on draft picks left and right like the terrible job Ron Hextall did

  4. No more former players, no Briere, no more Holmgren or Clarke, no more Dave Scott, the whole front office needs to purge the boys club and start 100% from scratch.

  5. Not liking that it's another former flyer in the front office, but maybe since he wasn't the tallest/strongest player out there he'll be more likely to see the value in speed/skill than being "tough to play against."

  6. I will take that front office job that is classified as l sit here and do absolutely nothing and get paid 4 million a year … Hell l will only stay 6 months and take 2 million … You guys have done this for years so l am going to expect a call tomorrow afternoon!!

  7. If they make Breire permanent GM, then it completes the mandatory former Flyer hire, guaranteeing another DECADE of losing until they hire another former Flyers player to GM, and another DECADE of losing. See a 50 year pattern here?

  8. Flyers need to clean house. I donā€™t like Danny Briere being the next GM. All these old time flyers need to go.
