i still dont understand why the leafs made this trade. Hes showing he can be a top dman, while gustafson is lucky to even get in the line up.
I wish Sandin great success, but with the Leafs he was a No. 5 D-man, at best. The Leafs got a pick and the move also allowed them to add Jake McCabe who is a HUGE upgrade on Sandin. Not to mention Gustafsson. The Leafs made off like bandits! WTG Kyle Dubas!

It's a bit too early to judge how bad the trade was for Toronto but Sandin so far has been the best player on the ice for each Caps game since his arrival. He's brought life to our dead power play and looks like a phenomenal skater.
Our playoff push is likely over, however, too many injuries this year to too many core players. If that's the case, I hope Toronto does break their curse and make a run for it.
