ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE WIN FOR THE SABRES! This is the response weâve needed after starting a game slow. This whole year the Sabres have relied on a good first two periods to win games and itâs the reason weâre still on the outside looking in. NOT TODAY. Anderson calms himself down, secondary scoring does itâs job to get us back in it⊠THATâS how you win. We were gritty, we made great passes and responded to the Stillman hiccup with a Thompson breakaway rush back of our own. Not to mention Stillman had two assists this game and dusted himself off admirably. We got four of âem, we got âem smart, we got âem quick to the point where the defenders couldnât get in position, and we got âem greasy. Gotta love it. What a night! Itâs not over yet! And just like that Buffalo's back in the wild card race. 5 points back of the Isles with 2 games in hand. Huge road trip continues in Washington and Philly this week.
