It's not that surprising. The team can compete when it has NHL calibre goaltending. Plus they're playing a tighter system, end of season no pressure. I bet they'll play .600 rest of the season.

The Canucks are now playing hockey at a way faster pace than they previously were for most of the season.
Had this current roster of players started the season back in October, they would easily be at least 10 points better than where they presently sit in the western conference standings.

They might as well let the players improve their own stats, as well as try out new strategies. There was no way we were getting Bedard, and no team wants to try to lose. Considering how they've been doing recently, they're trending in the right direction.
Bedard or not, this is giving me hope for next season.
