  1. Does anyone look at the Bruins goalies on the Providence Bruins. Lights out statistically.
    That's where Swayman played.

  2. Dumb idea unless you can get a huge haul. He's the goalie of the future, and if there is a trade consideration do it in the offseason after the parade. The reality is the cap is a mess next year.

  3. I don't want to trade Swayman, but I would if it would make a significant difference. The underlying issue, is that there wouldn't be the need to add to the depth lines, if the players presently on the depth lines, produced more consistently. It goes much farther than just Craig Smith. Hall and Coyle, have a combined 6 goals in their last 26 games. Their 11 mil against the cap, sure outweighs Smiths 3 something mil. I wonder how many teams have inquired about Hall, and taking on that cringe worthy 6 mil? Hall, is earning 2nd line money, and giving you at best, 4th line production.

  4. IMO the Bruins should keep Swayman.

But they should go ALL IN on Jacob Chychrun (since he has 2 years left on his deal). He would give them the firepower to deal with the beefed up Leafs, Hurricanes, Rangers, etc. AND they would keep him from another Cup contender.

Yes, price will be very steep. But IMO a first round pick, Grzelcyk, and Mason Lohrei is a competitive offer, and maybe add a conditional 3rd rounder.

If Chychrun goes to the Canes, Leafs or Lightning, then the Bruins will have real trouble matching up. And I'm just not excited by an expensive Gavrikov rental. I'd rather get Schenn as a cheaper alternative.

  5. This talk is pure nonsense. I would argue over the last 2 months, Sway is the better of the 2 goalies. He's young, confident and working hard towards being a number 1 starting goalie. The B's don't need to add anyone to the roster to be super competitive this year. They should stand pat (except they could trade Hall as he is horrible as of late) Keep him this year, and then if he wants a starting job, which he deserves, then trade him for some serious D or forwards next season unless he wins the starting job from Ullmark. Then you could trade him instead if he wants to start somewhere.
