Everyone ALWAYS tells Toronto to get goaltending and defense at the deadline. Then…on cue…Toronto goes out and trades for MORE scoring. What is the term for doing the same thing over and over again, expecting a different result. Oh yeah…that’s called INSANITY !!! 😂
Very unfortunate for the player and the team…most important the player. Hockey is such a fast and physical game and it takes its toll on the body. All the best to him and his health and wellbeing going forward.

This sucks. I'd rather have him in the lineup than Holl, but I think it might be time for Big Jake to hang them up.
Too bad about Jake Muzzin–the main concern at this point is his health after hockey–IMHO ,his career is over, I really don't see him coming back from this. Wishing him the best for the future, he had a very good career.
Was a warrior for the Leafs. And who knows, maybe he'll take another season off and then report to camp in 2025 and give it a shot again. The Leafs are DEFINITELY going to make another BIG move with his $5.7 million dollar cap space 🇨🇦
Muzzin will be given a job in the Leafs if it truly is over. Just like Spezza. Leafs look after their well liked guys….and money is no object at MLSE. Wendel Clark still earns a decent paycheck for being an "ambassador"….real money.
I think for his family and well being, think retirement may be his best decision.
A sad day. Much beloved Maple Leaf. Priority now is to get healed, go from there. He has a Wife and Kids, so important that he takes no chances with this serious injury. Smart guy, I'm sure he invested his earnings wisely, and has no financial concerns to distract the healing process. Very well liked and respected by his teammates. If this doesn't motivate Leafs even more to win a cup, nothing will.

he played 53 53 47 and 4 games. poor guy. love him but it was a bad trade. didn't get us over the top and we could really use Durzi now, who btw has 4 more goals than our 7.5 million dollar man Mo.
He might not be a part of it on the ice, but I would bet that he'll be around the boys down the stretch and into the playoffs. A great warrior and leader like Muzz will find a way to lead in any way possible. 💪
He won't retire as he collects a salary next year. And he will go on LTIR again.
