  1. In a career full of iconic instrumental statements—the “Bolero”, “Rice Pudding”, “Definitely Maybe”, “Because We’ve Ended…”, “Pork Pie Hat”, “Angel (Footsteps)”—this piece may be the summit of Jeff’s art. A masterpiece.

  2. This is on Becks late 80s or 1990 album "Guitar Shop" which I havent listened to in ages …..

  3. Brian May released a tune very like this called "Bijou" on Queen's "Innuendo" Album a year or two after this was released on Beck's "Guitar Shop" album…I think it was the B Side to the single Innuendo or Headlong ( which I bought on tape back then, and have long since lost) . Steve Howe played the Classical guitar part in the song "Innuendo"……

  4. Jeff never got the fame like Eric Clapton and Jiimy Page got..I don't think he wanted it…he gave Eric the finger in this concert

  5. This song leaves me breathless. I'm still trying to get over the loss of Jeff. Tears flow when I listen to this track. I don't know if I will ever get over this loss. I'm so accustomed to "what is Jeff going to surprise me with next year". It really hurts.

  6. Much of Beck's greatness, in my opinion, lies in this few moments in each song or solo where it sounds as if he's going to lose it, but somehow he comes back. He plays with the precipice, wobbling on a tightrope, but never falls. Amazing stuff.

  7. Does Jeff Beck have a music degree or did he ever had any kind of guitar lesson from a music teacher? Or is he purely self-taught & plays by ear? There is no way that JB plays this great without knowing music theory by heart. His licks, phrases, fills and feel are amazing.
