Bruins Acquire Bertuzzi from Detroit



The Boston Bruins have acquired forward Tyler Bertuzzi from the Red Wings in exchange for a 2024 first-round draft pick (top-10 protected) and a 2025 fourth-round draft pick. Detroit will retain 50 percent of Bertuzzi’s salary.

    That's all we get and we're still are on the hook for half his salary? WTF? Must be something going on behind the scenes that we're not aware of and most likely never will be. Boston is going to love Bertuzzi.

    As a bruins fan I am bricked up. Sucks losing Hall and Foligno but hopefully we are pulling a tampa bay and they come back round 1.

    Sorry for all red wings fans. Yzerman not a good gm at all draft picks won't help team. Draft doesn't have any game changers anymore. Rebuild far from over no team depth and bad defense. He's giving up players to other teams for nothing. Detroit losers👎😭 of trade deadline. Have tons of faith🙏🙏 in Lord Jesus none in Yzerman plan🤔🤯. At least Bertuzzi and Sundqvist will be in playoffs Larkin won't ever see playoffs😭

    Another dumb salary dump and yet again disrespects the fans who stick by their teams.
    This is a garbage deal that first round pick no matter what year or how it works will be a bottom end pick and be equiv to a second round pick.The 4th pick is a joke i think managers do these just to say we got MORE than just a first round but in reality NO you did not.
    Sucks if your a DET fan they started using up Seider's restrictive years when they are not even ready to be a contender.Here is another thing Dylan Larkin is alot like Suzuki he is NOT a legit first line player he is like Suzuki a very good second line player but you WILL NOT win a stnaley cup if these type of players are your best players.
    Sadly the league structure is a joke it encourages teams to finish at the bottom several years in a row to rebuild with top end picks.The whole NHL imo is structured as a joke the players want to much the players association wants too much Bettman geesh IDK what he does make an appearance and speeches?
    There is ZERO loyalty to teams players go where the money is and sometimes the team keeps the stars at a high cost but most often many leave leaving fans with no true team to support just a new bag of heroes every season.

    Personally. If bert stays healthy. Id build a team around him. He has a higher ceiling predict. His name will be on the 2023 won cup. I hope steve gets him back in a year. Too good to let go of. Peace.

    Gonna miss Bert, that’s for sure.
    But if the situation is,
    he’s asking for more money than the Wings want to pay him.
    And he’s going to be a UFA,
    well….
    I can see what Stevie was thinking.
    They’re completely focused on the future.
    And Bert’s 28 and a little injury prone.
    This,
    going to the Bruins,
    is probably a better shot for him to get a cup 🏆
