   If we pick bottom 4 we are jumping our team development curve by a lot.

   You have 2 big offensive centres and 2 guys absolutely destroying their respective leagues.

   This is a huge top 4 year.

   Made some realizations with remaining schedule:

   – First, our schedule is tough as fuck (#3 out of the league in SOS). So realistically we will lose way more than win out following the next games. These next 3 games will be hell but the following 3 after, it’s not crazy to think we could rack up points
   – Not gonna comment on the Panthers pick, but the race for wild card is pretty competitive, so they can pick up better lottery odds still (very unlikely their lottery odds turn to odds for #1 however)
   – Chicago and Anaheim have a game against each other, so one of em will rack points there.
   – Vancouver vs Anaheim happens twice, so either Vancouver pushes themselves further from us which will give us a buffer if we end up winning games, or Anaheim gets even closer to us.
   – Vancouver vs Chicago happens twice as well, so 2x the above.
   – Arizona also has multiple “easy” games lined up, so they too should open up a buffer ahead of us.
   – Philly has some mid-difficulty games here and there but not often vs teams that we are concerned with for draft position. So they are actually what I’m more worried for.

   All this to say, despite post ASB being stressful with how our Draft position looked, all is looking bright for a Top 5 pick maybe even up to Top 3 if we’re very very lucky.

   I feel like hope is dwindling for the Florida pick but our “Plan B” could be to package that pick with some others and potentially move up a smidge. All in all it’s better than nothing but I was really hoping the stars would align and the Panthers would blow it this year 😕

   Negative: they are extremely injury prone
