Obviously the score line is ugly but to me this boils down to a team that finishes their chances and one that doesn’t. I actually thought we had really good o zone possession time and good cycling but when you can’t score it borderline becomes pointless. Edvinsson made a lot of small good little plays denied some entries from good players hope he stays and we don’t have to watch hagg oesterle lindstrom.

This might be the game that makes me stop watching Red Wing hockey for good. I just can’t do it anymore with this organization. They gave me some good years, but I’ve been patient and they’re absolute trash. Almost a decade of garbage hockey. And they’re another decade away from being competitive. Sorry, I won’t raise my kids to be loyal fans who never get to experience joy. Fuck the Illitch’s and fuck Stevie Y.

  3. BigShittingAss

One of these days a goalie is going to debut in the NHL and have a big hole in their chest, and when that day comes, it’s over for you hoes.

  4. xenonwarrior666

At what point do people start turning on Steve in large amounts.

If we spin our wheels for 5 more years do people give up on the Yzerplan?

    Not saying it happens.

It sure looks like we’ve drafted some quality kids no offensive superstars like other teams have but some good quality kids.

If in 5 years we’re still not in the playoffs or losing every series do people give up?

  5. jfstompers

Well this team is not good. Why did we punt on this draft again?

  6. SpiritBamba

Team just isn’t good after who we sold off and what injuries we have, they do not have any scorers on the team. And honestly does not look like we have anyone who is an elite shooting threat in our prospect pool. At this point, we are gonna have to trade for one or pray we get lucky this year in the draft. There just isn’t scoring talent to compete in this teams future.

  7. Kkleinsorge

Quinn Hughes was drafted right after Filip Zadina

  8. BenAdaephonDelat

I’ll be honest friends, I’ve emotionally checked out of the season. See you folks on draft lotto day.

  9. jaredsurreddit

Goaltending was the difference in this one. Power play is so boom-or-bust too

Don’t tell me this team can play the way it did in the first period and then just…not win games.

You play 60 minutes like you did for that first 20, you win most games. The Wings went out in the 2nd and had very little offensive pressure, and then just let their usual sloppy play kill them on a couple moments in the third. This team can still be competitive if Lalonde can get them to focus, but I guess at this point in the season it’s hard to do that.

These threads always show just how dumb most fans are.

Solid debut for Ed. Nice seeing him physically dominate forwards.

  13. O_Gardens

Turn on the Bruins/Wild game only to see Wings/Avs highlights. Great.

  14. leafssuck69

Didn’t watch, how did Edvinsson look?

  15. xenonwarrior666

People constantly down voting anyone with an opinion other than “everything is rosey and as long as the boys have fun it’s cool” is ridiculous.

The team is improving incrementally and hopefully we’re close to being playoff bound.

However there are still underlying issues that are going to require some luck to fix.

We’re lacking finish as seen that past few games. We crumble when we meet a physical team.

I can root for the team but also have doubts about how successful this rebuild will be.

There are far better line ups than what we have that can’t even make it out of the first round.

  16. MiStrong

I thought Ed looked solid as a rock, would like to see him with a different partner

  17. Sneacler67

Please scratch Zadina from here on out. Its fine to admit already that he’s a bust and our very high first round pick is not going to work out

  18. JiffTheJester

These dudes just can’t fucking finish. So many chances.. other than that, close game!

  19. Score really not reflecting the play tonight.

We got sort of goalied, but I do think we’re clearly lacking that scoring depth and heavy goal scorer that can pot 35+ in a season.

Some defensive mistakes and bad luck helped kill us as well tonight.

Overall I still wanna say we played a decent enough game though.

  20. FatuousOocephalus

I was at the game. Apart from the give away when he tried to skate it out of our end shortly after his penalty, Edvinsson looked good. The Aves were testing him physically away from the play on his first shift and he stood strong. He might be a keeper.

  21. Educational_Series68

Started good then our lack of talent started to show.

  22. Old-News-3096

I’m just here for the Ed reports

This threads a bit of a cesspool. Hoping we can build off our progress this year. Sad to see so many fair weather fans.
