Strong Goaltending, Fiala has been fantastic even though he's out, they have Veteren players, new upcoming prospects, their depth is well structured, They are fantastic offensively, the defence knows how to play and hold leads for 60 minutes, and they have been great defensively their past seven games, they also have a chance to take the division lead as of 3/17/2023, tomorrow if they win against Vancouver, and they are winning now than prior through the season which means they are stronger now more than even.
Kings: rolls 4 lines that can score, two top six Selke-level centers, wingers that can score like Kempe/Arvidsson/Vilardi/Kaliyev/sickass Fiala, solid goaltending finally, D works now with Gavrikov that guys like Roy and Anderson can activate offensively. And the X factor…key veterans have Final experience Danault and Arvidsson along with Kopi and Doughty.
Quick and Cal almost cost the coach and Blake their jobs. A random journeyman goalie saved the season. Still doesn't get the respect from the analysts. Thank you Copely for your hard work.
Kings defensively are great. What really sets this team apart is scoring. Their top 6 scorers are spread out. Not just on 1 line, or 2 lines, but on 3 different lines.
Kopi and Kempe, 1st line Danalt and Arvidson, 2nd line Fiala and Vilardi, 3rd line. Kaliyev leads the team in power play goals and he is a 4rth line left winger.
All 4 lines are loaded with scoring talent besides the defensive numbers.
Something not mentioned here is the kings will also be good for many years. They have not lost any prospects besides Fabre to Minnesota. But there is so much talent coming up and the young kids in the lineup now are looking better and better every year.
