  1. Has anyone seen 2020 draisaitl.. the guy who could carry a line to success

  2. I watched an Oilers stream of the game earlier tonight(Mon)since ESPN+ didn't have the game available in the US for some reason(grrr). And the host and many people in the chat were saying same sorta thing as Barrie — "we played hard and it was a good game and we almost won" blah blah blah. It seems strange to me. I mean, you lost…at home…ummm shouldn't you be bothered by that? Especially when you took some bad late-game penalties after some players lost their composure — you luckily got a 5 min major reversed — only to take a double minor a short time later to basically end the game. Oilers scored first, then gave up the lead, tied it and then Boston takes the final lead late in 2nd period and shut you down the entire 3rd? And you're okay with that?!

I saw highlights of McDavid being interviewed in between 2nd/3rd period and the media guy wanted to celebrate the 50th goal?! McDavid didn't want any part of it! Why? Because the Oilers were loooosing. Stats and milestones are supposed to mean very little in the losing locker room. Elite players want to win, not "give it a good try" or "go down fighting". If this is really the Oilers view then perhaps it's why the GM hasn't made any moves to improve the club…after all the Oilers are trying real hard and losing well these days…
