The St. Louis Blues pay tribute to Ivan Barbashev, who was drafted by the club and helped the team win a Stanley Cup in 2019. Barbashev was traded to the Vegas Golden Knights on Feb. 26, 2023.
I hate this trade. Armstrong has lost his way. But good luck Barbashev in Vegas. You went to a good team. They have been contenders for the cup every year of they're short career.
Loved watching Barbi play, he played Blues hockey, I don't know what we are playing now. It's a fire sale in St. Louis and all we are getting back are ECHL players and draft picks. We'll be the doormat of the league for the next few years.

I’m thrilled to have this guy in Vegas. I love scrappy forwards like this guy, he seems like a grinder. Just looking at his highlights and scouting reports makes me already hope the team hangs onto him long terms.
Always loved what Barbeshev brought to the Blues. Hard-nosed competitor willing to lay the body, drop the gloves and play defense. The perfect fit for STL. We will miss you.
