  1. Example of where you play the body. Borgen had the opportunity, given how little room there was, to step up and shove him off it.

  2. the goalie should have save this tho. Jones was already in position… but luck is part of the game. so nice! mcdavid is just crazy this year

  3. 58 goals and 134 points with 12 more games to go in their season, that's nuts. Dude is gonna finish with 65-70 goals and 150+ points. In today's era, that's unheard of. Possibly the greatest player ever, I don't think Gretzky is doing that in today's league. I bet McDavid scores 150 goals with 300+ points in the 80's.

  4. Matthews scored 60 in 73 games.
McDavid has 58 in 70 games. Most likely will reach 70 in 73 games as well
Hopefully he plays all 82 games and beats Ovi 65 goal # record

  5. Anyone that thinks McDavid is not as talented as players like Lemieux or Gretzky should really take off the beer googles or whatever the hell they are wearing, because he is just as good if not better. Todays game is way lower scoring overall, not only that but Gretzky and Lemieux took pride in racking up points every night(also no salary cap back then) and those particular teams were beyond stacked). McDavid just wants to win, he takes no pride in racking up 6+ points in a night so long as his team wins.

  6. The caliber of an NHL point producer throughout history is simple – how does he compare to his peers in that season? McDavid is like 30+ points beyond second in the scoring race right now. Getting up there in the all time books. Let's see if he can finish with like 155 points. That would be comparable to a prime Lemieux season… in the modern era. We will see how his point total compares to second place at seasons end and assess the all time subject. This season by him puts him on the map without question.

  7. And people say Gretzky scored against weak goaltending? That netminder was beyond pathetic.

  8. If McDavid can have 10 more seasons like he had this year, he'll be close to Gretzky. Good luck with that. I like McDavid, but let's cool it with the "he's better than Wayne!" talk.

  9. He is incredibly accurate with his shot. I thought he was an elite playmaker only with above average scoring skills. It ends up he is elite…..period.

  10. Great win by the Oilers, but I don't think Jack Michaels ( game play-by-play announcer) should ever assume the game is in the bag with almost 4 minutes left to play. He kept saying "its all over" for Seattle, but a lot of teams can score 3 goals in that amount of time. I've seen 2 goals in 40 seconds. Lucky for him and us Oiler fans, he didn't have to eat his words.

  11. I know Mcdavid has the machine behind him but wouldnt the game winner have been the 4th goal?
