Mitrione is one of my favorites of all time. he always in there with a smile. was funny, Kimbo beat Houston Alexander, UFC lets Alexander go. Matrione beat Kimbo, UFC lets Kimbo go. Just imagine if Mitrione got into MMA sooner? he could have been a star. you dont have to be the absolute best to be a star in MMA, you need to be entertaining and win.
Kimbo relied too much on his boxing/brawling if he would've focused more on his wrestling he would've been up there with Jon Jones. Clearly he opened this fight with master strength body slamming Mitrione like a rag doll twice. If he had grapple technique on the ground he would've won.
So glad limbo went on tuf. I used to watch his backyard fights and based on those figured he was just a tough thug. Seeing him on tuf was eye opening. Dude was so humble. so kind and encouraging. RIP kimbo.
