Damn very nervous about this news but. Hopefully this won’t be like everything else they make which is just a logo slapped on some low quality apparel. I imagine there must be some sort of quality expectation coming down from the league for their jerseys. Really sucks too that under adidas jerseys looked and felt pretty decent

I’m very anti-Fanatics but now knowing they make the on field MLB jerseys for Nike and make the NFL authentics sold in stores and online that makes me a tiny bit hopeful. MiCs (or their equivalent) will probably be pretty nice quality.

Ugh. I got some Braves gear from Fanatics last year that was absolute shit quality. Even the tshirt was super thin and didn’t wash up well. Maybe they’ll improve with the NHL contract.

Fanatics sucks, but I’m going to hold judgement until I see an “authentic” jersey. Yes the Fanatics jerseys right now are trash compared to the Adidas ones, but they’re not supposed to be the same quality, that’s why they’re cheaper.
It’s a little concerning that with all these sports apparel manufacturers, no one wanted to sign so the league had to fall back to Fanatics who have never made on ice/field/court uniforms (from my knowledge) or high quality fan apparel in general.
ETA: Apparently, Nike contracts Fanatics to make the official NFL and MLB unis for them. Those are pretty good quality, so there is some hope.

Honestly this kind of explains why Fanatics gear was previously cheap. I guess CCL, Adidas, etc. have been using the same facility and Fanatics previously wasn’t able to produce their own high quality product due to the contract. I’d expect the quality of the Fanatics jerseys to increase now.
