The LA Kings have points in 9 straight so what's to be concerned about?

The LA Kings continue to get points but fail to get 2 against the Canucks. Plus what is your biggest concern right now as a Kings fan? For me there are two things that standout. We’ll discuss that and more on this addition of Locked on LA Kings.

  1. Hey Eddie, you were great as a guest on Locked On NHL show! Nice for you to be an advocate for LA Kings! Am also concerned about the PP but it will improve when Fiala & Durzi teturn. GKG!!!

  2. My concern? We have good goalies but they are not going to steal games in the playoffs. We are likely to be facing one or two goalies who are capable of stealing a series.

  3. It doesn’t look like Lucic is even playing tonight, and I think MacEwen is still wearing the face guard recovering from that broken jaw. Kaliyev should definitely be playing. Spence too.

  4. The very reason the Kings did not win is one player, Thatcher Demko. Demko was standing on his head. The Kings were not the problem and neither was Korpasalo.

  5. Kind of goes without saying that Fiala (& Durzi) are major concerns. 🙂

  6. My concern is them playing down to their competition and not putting games away. The Canucks manhandled the Kings in the 3rd through overtime.

  7. Great video Eddie, I'm glad I found your channel recently as I've been looking for some in-depth analysis and anything LA Kings related. My biggest concern is how the special teams will perform and how consistent they can be going forward until the end of the season and throughout the playoffs. Hoping for a win tonight, Go Kings Go!

  8. I could see why kaliev was taken out for McEwen because I think even Vancouver bullied the kings a bit Saturday night and Calgary r even tougher again not just because of lucic and Kadri but because of the flames team in general Calgary needs the 2 points tonight and it's going to b a rough game Eddie

  9. Kings with 4 goals. Flames with just 3 shots. What a 1st period!

  10. What a game. The team is hitting on all cylinders. Kopitar and Doughty look completely rejuvenated. Both are having their best seasons in years. Can’t f’n wait for the playoffs

  11. McEwen had a solid game against Calgary. I'm a big fan of Kaliyev, but McEwen is growing on me.

  12. Eddie, am I the only one who is both awed by the Kings new cycling in the offensive zone with all five players circling and involved in most of the plays…as well as suddenly feeling terror in that their aggressive behavior is both exciting, but also risky? Against top teams, this new play would clearly leave them subject to speedy forwards making a breakout back on their own goaltenders. And though our goalies are doing what I sense is the best they can, when they are left vulnerable, they rarely stop the puck. So, perhaps skipping too far ahead, I wonder whom we have found to match up to an Oilers team that showcaes two of the best players in the league? One quick example: back around 2007/'08, I watched the Kings play Detroit and Henrique Zetterberg-quite literally-skated by all five Kings players, went around the net, came back out, shot and scored. In the playoffs, I saw Conner McDavid do about the same thing. His moves were brilliant, but the point is that he skated right in and scored. So how are we gonna stop him this time around? Well, here's hoping you have some ideas/thoughts on the matter…Go Kings!
