  1. I hate to say this, but unless Kane turns things around come playoff time, right now he seems like the weakest link out there. Our 3rd and 4th line forwards are not only producing more, but are giving far more effort than Kane. He still looks lost. He looks soft, weak and careless with the puck. It’s like he’s not competing. I know it’s a transition for him, but other players like Tarasenko and Mikkola had to go through the same thing and they gave effort since game 1. I hope things turn around for him soon Bc right now he’s hurting the Rangers more than helping.

  2. Tough game.. even still it was a great game regardless of outcome.
    Igor was great! 💪

  3. Rangers are frauds they beat up on crap teams but can't mount any offense against the elite teams. This was beautiful to watch. Rangers have no chance against the bruins, once again it's igor vs the other team 😂

  4. Tortorella never had close to the talent gallant has yet gallant is wasting all this talent

  5. that was a teamwide choke. everybody but the kid line contributed. no goals from the top two lines or power plays. goals against 3/4 lines. goalie gives up one and suddenly becomes very beatable. Kane almost goes a second straight game w no SOG.

on the one hand, it's good this happened and happened now and happened this way. will keep them from getting full of themselves and buying their own hype that was starting to go around. they were outworked and outplayed all game. they scored one almost thru luck, a tiny brief crack in that defense, and then went into penalty kill mode for the rest of the game till it randomly became a back and forth track meet at the end. you aren't going to win every game w a shutout.

pathetic performance by most of the team but maybe for the best. also i would consider Kane and Tarasenko together if only for a minute here or there. Kane is just not involved offensively at all. it's like he's trying to be a defensive conservative forward here. that's not his job. no timing w Kreider, either. gave him two straight passes down to the net on the power play that w past partners are goals both times.

  6. He's 100% right, they were outplayed by a relentless team but WHY weren't they prepared, what did Gallant not teach them, demand from them? To get that badly outplayed, outskated, out everythinged I blame the coach!

  7. i have seen Pat Kane look like he's looked the last two games only once before in his career and it wasn't earlier this year in Chicago when he wasn't trying. it was early LAST year, after they fired Colliton and Derek King became the interim coach. King tried to install a defense-first grind it out style to keep games low scoring. completely handcuffed Kane. Kane was trying, but there was nothing he could contribute or do in such a system. that is how he looks the last couple games, and most of the games since getting on the Kreider Trocheck line. he's trying. even playing good and responsible defense most of the time – his d tonight was better than almost all the other NYR forwards. the problem is, that's not properly his job. it is a poor deployment of that particular asset. at this point i say put him a Tarasenko and Panarin for one game, have whichever of them take the faceoffs, and just tell them to see what they can do in one game together. or at least switch Kreider and Tarasenko and try that for a game or two. Kane needs to feel he is allowed to play offense. those weak conservative dump ins the past several games are not something he does. he has either been coached to do that here or it's been implied to him that is how the Rangers play offense.

  8. It came down to coaching, gallant simply got outcoached by brindamour

  9. I think the rangers are gonna evaluate their mistakes this game and come back stronger for the win next game against the canes no doubt

  10. The rangers win every season on the back page.. I've seen this too many times.. expectations lead to disappointment with the new york rangers

  11. The coach can’t force his players to play well. It’s a team issue. Every comment section has the most deranged fans I’ve ever seen.

  12. Do reporters have a sheet of 3-4 questions they are allowed to ask and just have to find new ways to ask the same dumb questions over and over? Goodness.
