  1. How is Accari supposed to avoid contact when Nelson turns his back to the play, and actually turn into the contact, at the very last second? These players have to stop using a rule as some kind of invisible shield. .

  2. But when the jets did that to mitch marner it was his fault since he had his back towards everyone

  3. Defenceless player, right in the numbers, should be suspension but because he is a Leaf no call…..not even a minor penalty. Glad they got thumped 7-2. best of luck with Tampa.

  4. Ass long as Keefe keeps playing Holl ,a big man scared to go in corners, Leafs will go nowhere

  5. Its like when a guy gives you a suicide pass, when Nelson turns back he sets himself up for a hit and well, self inflicted in my books. Unfortunate for sure but Acciari did something that not many recent Leafs have done, finish a check. I guess the other teams need to be aware of the new Leafs out there. Still a long ways to go though.

  6. It was a clean hit. Acciari hit him right in the numbers with his body so it was legal. It looked bad because Nelson was facing the boards and his head felt the worst of the blow, but Acciari did not actually make contact with his head and that's why he wasn't given a penalty. If anyone should have been tossed, it should have been the NHL's #1 goon, Matt Martin. I thought the NHL was trying to crack down on fights after clean hits. Apparently not if the Leafs are involved. Hey Matt, have another banana!!

  7. To all those how say “he turned at the last second” wouldn’t it also mean you could not throw the hit at the last second? Just think about it for a minute
