  1. Engvall was such a good pick up for them. I would have liked him on the Jets. There's many players on our team who are passively underperforming. Appleton might as well still be injured. He's invisible on the ice.

  2. I'm hoping islanders play bruins, islanders can steal some games there, theyre a good playoff team.

  3. I’ll reiterate what Butch said about the Islander’s position if only they were in the middle of the pack with their PP’s!
Not to mention penalty shots. They have lost every shootout (except maybe 1), the entire season.
Combine middle of pack PP and middle of pack penalty shots, and they certainly would not be fighting for their lives for wildcard scraps with 10 games to go! One can dream!

  4. I think that the game against the leafs after this interview shows that there is a difference between the way the islanders play in early January vs how they play in crunch time. There are some really high powered teams in the East like Boston and Carolina and Toronto but the Islanders have the ability to drag them into the mud in a 7 game series, plus Sorokin is a very good and consistent goalie who can make sure that they stay in each game. If I was Carolina or Boston, I'd much rather play the Pens instead of the Islanders in the first round.
