Pius Suter Scores 2 in Big Win Over the Washington Capitals | Detroit Wins 4 of 5 on the Road

THE DETROIT RED WINGS HAVE WON 4 OF 5 OF THEIR GAMES ROAD TRIP. Pius Suter scored twice after Dylan Larkin was ejected and stepped into the 1C role and led the team to victory. Jakub Vrana looked strong in his first game back. The defense and Husso balled out to prevent second chances. #lgrw

  1. I think it was a crosscheck, but would it have been called a major if Oshi didnt stay down like he was seriously injured? Tbh, the crosscheck that was done to Bert was nastier and with way more force. Also, Larkin himself got crosschecked in the last few games, across the face that wasnt called. At this point, with the way the NHL calls penalties, every time ur touched act like you are hurt. Im sick and tired of the lack consistency with the refs. All the calls for guys that fall, making calls when people are injured, not calling the same penalties consistently throughout the game, etc.

  2. This feels like supporting the lions this season, you've given up hope of making the postseason then the team starts to win, at first your thinking nothing of it, then all of a sudden there's a chance and you don't want to get your hopes up because you've been hurt before, then all of a sudden your into the last game with a chance, I can see it going the same way with the wings, but heck I'm in for the ride and can't wait for the next game

  3. Larkin being behind the play again. As good as he can be the low points are bad. You can't blame inexperience either or hope for development.
I wouldn't be surprised if Larkin gets traded.

  4. There was a cross check that Larkin was the victim of in the calgary game…..I think it was 3 games ago. The consistent officiating is atrocious.

  5. i’ve been saying.: suter isn’t just a third liner man. he’s got potential for more even at that age

  6. if the wings could just clear their zone a lil better and capitalize on the missed opportunities they would be unstoppable..

  7. So here's my beef with us squeaking into the playoffs at this point. Say we do sneak in, so that means we don't sell Burt at the deadline and get potential assets just to play like Boston in the first round and get bounced in 4-5 games??
I think as a fanbase we can see the improvement, and should be excited for the future but I still think we trade Bertuzzi and aim for one last good draft pick and head into next year ready to take on the world.

  8. not sure why no one was really mentioning how when Larkin was putting out his stick Oshie lifted his own stick which lifted Larkins stick and ended up being a crosscheck to the head of Oshie. Yes one needs to have control of their own stick but That one was clearly an accident and not only didn't deserve a game misconduct but neither did he deserve a major. An "accident " crosscheck penalty would usually be a minor. With the very slim time between putting his stick out and Oshie lifting Larkins stick, that's pretty hard to control
