Vegas is a diverse melting pot and better because of it.
If you’re against basic human rights, basic human understanding and acceptance, you’re no fan of the Golden Knights.

Best of luck to all our trans bros and bro-ettes and all in between and around. Try not to let all the crazy discourse out there weigh you down.. people are silly

I’m really hoping that Vegas puts in a major show. With all this bullshit around the league, it’s time for Vegas to put in the big flashy show the city is known for.

At the sake of adding nuance to the conversation. What attacks have there been on pride night? I know a couple of players have opted not to wear the jersey and skate in warmups, but that’s not an attack. If it’s their religious belief then, so be it. If it’s discourse on Twitter or other platforms that aren’t real life… well, I don’t really care what bots think anyway.
If these players were actively coming out condemning people for their gender or orientation, that would obviously be different, but to force them to wear special garments is no different than the Catholics/Muslims/etc. forcing religious attire on a non-adherent. It actually borders on a secular religion.
To someone like me who dislikes religion, group think/identity, and believes strongly in individualism, I would never wear a pride anything, just like I wouldn’t wear a Christian cross, or any kind of group identifying iconography that seeks to worship a deity, or deify an idea or cause. If other people want to, they are more than welcome to do so.

I really wish some of our players would take notice and boycott it too

People want to see a team/organization/etc that they like support the things they like or identify with. There is nothing wrong with this. The issue is people are so passionate about things that when someone doesn’t express support in the exact way they want it to be expressed, things get messy. The league has themselves in a bad spot now because players don’t want to wear a Jersey of something they do not support, and since the cat is out of the bag, many fans are upset that players won’t do this form of inclusion after having it before. It’s sad because everyone is tearing each other apart on this when really we should be respecting the ability for others to make their own choices even if we don’t agree and moving on to come together for the sport.
