Yes we can’t “lose every game” but our lottery chances were cut in half tonight and that’s bad
It’s ok!!! The next game is against… oh shit. The Canadiens.
Anyone have a link to KJ goal?
I know it doesn’t help the tank, but for all the sub members who gleefully cheered on when our team would lose, it kinda fills me with joy when we do win and they go to bed grumpy their favorite team got a W
EDIT: The downvotes only prove the point lol. Have a good night doomers.
Man that kj goal was crazy
On one hand, this game was super enjoyable on its own.
On the other, trying to weigh high stakes gambling in our favor is something I’d like long term.
On the third hand, we got so injured I can see this team shitting the bed real hard during the last stretch, so I’m not losing sleep over it. Yet.
I need a therapist to express my emotions from this game
All im saying is of we draft will smith ill be livid
they’re really gonna pull this win a bunch meaningless games down the stretch to get the 6th pick instead of top 3 bullshit again. I hate this team
Enjoy the win!
Do you really think Gary and the NHL powers that be are going to let Bedard come to Columbus when there are Original 6 big market teams in the mix?? I’m sure the lottery ball is already in the freezer as we speak!
We are getting 31st at this point. San Jose is literally horrible and has gone 2-13 since feb 1st so no one is out-tanking that unfortunately. I’m gonna enjoy the last few home games and cheer for 31st cause fantilli is a great prize too. For those thinking we are going to suck if we don’t get a top 3 pick I think you all need to look at who we have as prospects. Adding another top 5 pick player is nothing but beneficial. The main reason top 3 is so important is because they are centers which I get but it won’t kill us I don’t think. Glad we keep selling out and love this team and all of you!
Wining games to get rid of your chances for Bedard? We’re not even gonna be able to get Fantilli or Carlsson at this rate
Why
This is why we can’t have nice things
loved that KJ goal
I’ve always had a feeling we were going to end up getting Fantilli anyways.
I don’t care. Winning is fun. Losing sucks. Sure I want Bedard, but acting like a 25% is a sure thing is dumb anyway.
Can’t wait to win out and finish with the 6th pick because we don’t know how to win when wins matter and lose when losses matter.
Saving grace for Failing The Tank is with Oliver and Gudbranson leaving the game we may be forced to field a squad of only AHL players for the last few games
[Recap: NYI @ CBJ](https://hlslive-wsczoominwestus.med.nhl.com/publish/10253019/17074607/906ed754-6b14-4be4-8b29-3085d8e7b70c.mp4)
Let’s everybody relax for a second. We’re only in 31st via tiebreaker, that means if the Sharks manage to squeak out even one more OT loss, we’ll be right back at the bottom. We’ve got a fairly tough schedule for the rest of the season too, so let’s just see how things play out before we start smashing the panic button.
Philly and *maybe* Buffalo are the only teams that I see the CBJ having a shot at beating. That said, I’ve been wrong before. Still more than possible to finish the season <60pts. The Sharks love to lose in OT and that helps the CBJ
78% (7/9) on the dot and an assist in McKown’s first NHL game… I’ll take it
Here’s a positive for you all: Monsters just won in OT and are currently sitting in a playoff spot
I might just take a step back from the team. It’s great that they’re playing to their potential since there really is a lot of talent on the team. But with all the talk about the tank and draft position I find myself actually resenting the team for winning. It’s like betting the don’t on craps; it’s just not natural. The season isn’t over and the draft order is more than a month away so anything could happen I hope for the best of course. But it’s really getting hard to follow this team. In the beginning, rooting for a playoff spot, then still hoping for a miracle with all the injuries, and then ending up hoping for a top draft pick as consolation for (yet another) abysmal season. I’m just worn out right now and it’s probably a good idea to not be so interested right now.
See y’all next season.

Cbj always finding a way to fuck up
Bruh
I’m just ready for this season to be over, so much toxicity in the server whether you want Bedard or you want the team to play well
Kj’s michigan goal to take the lead was easily the greatest nhl goal i’ve seen in person and the chili chant totally deflated the hype. Can we agree to get rid of it after that?
I gotta give Lars credit for seeing the Michigan as a legitimate scoring attempt. He said after the game that it was the right shot selection in that situation since a wrap around would have been easily turned away. Definitely changed my view a bit of him as a dinosaur coach with that statement. Maybe he’s some kind of alligator coach instead.
As for the tank, my new copium is that wherever they end up it’s going to be miles better than where they should have been this year which is somewhere around 10th-14th. They’re going to end up with a far better prospect than they ever were going to end up with otherwise and maybe maybe maybe they get some lottery luck. Still going to be an absolute waste to win games with this roster considering possibly 9 guys on the roster today are not going to be on the roster at the start of next season. They might have to figure out how to win with half a different team regardless of what they do over the next 3 weeks.
