It's a MICHIGAN GOAL for Kent Johnson! 😱

Former University of Michigan star Kent Johnson pulls off a lacrosse goal against Ilya Sorokin on the 27th anniversary of Mike Legg’s ‘Michigan’ goal and gives the Columbus Blue Jackets a 3-2 lead over the New York Islanders.

  1. Whoa at full speed. Phenomenal skill. I can’t do this with fresh friction tape and 1000 attempts

  2. If the puck goes into the opposing net after coming into contact with a high stick, the goal is disallowed. The level at which a stick is considered too high for a goal is the crossbar of the net. However, if a player knocks the puck into his own net with a high stick, the goal is allowed.

The thumbnail even shows his stick is over the crossbar. Need to increase scoring though, so it's okay. Rules are only rules unless they negate excitement in the game. SMH!

  3. Best part of it is the play he makes to get the puck in the first place, nice pick pocket he deserved that!

  4. That was smooooooooth, one fluid motion. You love to see it — well, maybe not if you're an Isles fan, lol.

  5. The best michigan i've ever seen. The toe drag, clean pick up. I hate this move in general, but that was a beauty

  6. That was amazing! The best of its kind I've ever seen. P.S. In Finland we call this move an air crank. 😀

  7. I still can’t believe last year my Michigan wolverines had all that NHL talent and still didn’t win the natty. SMH

  8. I appreciate the fact that Johnson's stick got nowhere near the goalie's head, unlike so many others. So smooth too.

  9. As an Islanders fan, I gotta admit that is probably the best goal i've ever seen. I watched the game on TV and saw the goal, I was stunned. Hope the islanders can clinch a spot, #Isles

  10. Saw this live, stood with my hand on my head for 30 seconds. Never thought I would see one done live, let alone in the show. skill guy
