Greenway is not good, shouldn't be anything more than a 4th line role. he's not tenacious on pucks, skates slow. I think sabres need to make an entire line that just doesn't play 5v5 minutes (mitts and olof, girgs) and roll 3 lines rest of the way. Greenway decent on PK so far. Thanks Joe
Greenway will find his way If anyone can Donny can. He is trying to find his way in this group its not always an easy Transition. Id be more Concerned about a Certain 20+ goal scorer who keeps getting scratched every for his lack of effort every year.

Greenway needs that all-intense motor. He needs to realize he doesn't have the skill, so he needs max effort.
I had the same thought on greenway after he played 2 or 3 games in. He just didnt look like a Sabre, just didnt seem to fit in the system. I honestly thought he was gonna be in for more points and above all….be the hitter the team needs.

Greenway has a home…home. I said he was out of shape and slow, very slow, disengeged…and I don't know, maybe…first out of shape .or second out of the league.
Anyone realize Greenway had shoulder surgery very recently, and then wasn’t in the lineup in MIN for months because of it? Maybe he’s not up to game speed, especially after changing teams, changing systems, and getting played on a new line literally every night… oh and the team barely practices because their games are so close in March, and Don load manages this team more than most coaches. Cut the guy some slack lol.
Going to be nice to see everyone change their mind at the start of next season when he looks like a wrecking ball out there. Hard to slam into people and grapple in a fight with lingering shoulder issues.
He looks high all the time. When he talks he just seems like hes on drugs. I bet he smells like weed.
Fanatics makes MLB jerseys. The Nike logo is contractually there. Also direct anger toward the other apparel makers who didn't bid against Fanatics.
I haven't seen squat from Greenway. Stillman adds some hits but other than that…meanwhile both got hurt FAST.
Buffalo thought they'd do for Greenway what they took years to do for Thompson. The talent has to be there first; Gretzky would've been a 20-goal scorer under Krueger. Greenway wouldn't score 20 if the net were soccer-sized.
He was a waste & yes he's trash. Just collecting a paycheck out there basically with minimal effort.
Wild fan here. Greenway had 2 surgeries over the past summer. He hasn't been the same since. He was a massive disappointment for the Wild over the years. He is a good stick handler and has a very good shot but could never put it together for the Wild. If you can bring out his talent he will probably be what you want. But he has a tendency to be lazy and not really thrilled about his job.
Tyson Jost was good for the Wild for a while. But way too inconsistent. That is why they put him on waivers.
Greenway on the 4th line makes sense.
He’s the perfect Sabre: past connection with the coach, can’t score, wants to be in Buffalo because he wouldn’t be on any other team

You cannot say whether or not a player is good or not after 10 games. It takes much longer than that to learn a new system and get acclimated to your surroundings and teammates.
Ya he’s not good for the top six but he’ll be a decent replacement for Kyle Okposo and girgensons. I can’t stomach to watch Kyle Okposo anymore. He dumps the puck then chases for 3-5 seconds and he’s gassed . He really never wins the battles he’s a slug . Don’t give me the leadership crap . This team knows how important games are . They know they need to score and defend .. I can’t wait till that guy is gone
I couldn’t listen to 550 today . All they talked about was receivers like you do. How bout we draft a right tackle to replace Spencer Brown because he sucks ? How bout drafting a MLB or even a safety to replace hyde or poyer . Why not ? They won’t play the whole season . Siran neal will be our safety . Greeny's play is lazy and uninspired 99.9% of the time. Once in a very great while he'll throw a good hit or play up to his potential. But don't hold your breath waiting for it.
He’s a big man that plays like a small man that doesn’t care, played ok but was over rated when they had the GREEF line with Ek and Foligno. As a Wild fan, I can tell you that he was the most disappointing and over rated player I’ve seen. I was glad that he was gone, and anything over three used pucks for him was a great deal. Enjoy your time with the Big Rug. (that’s not a typo)
Wild fan here. Greenway is a big man with a small heart. He would only show up after getting a “pep” talk and then disappear until the next “pep” talk. So glad he’s gone. Good luck.
Greenway’s issue in Minnesota was quoted as his attitude “didn’t sit well with the team.” He has a very laissez-faire personality which in the winning business can rub people the wrong way. When he’s on he’s unstoppable but when he’s not there’s nothing there. No hits, shots, possession, etc.
We need to give Greenway the rest of this season and the upcoming off season/training camp first. However, at first blush, he hasn't shown much…
can’t believe buffalo gave up what they did for greenway. and taking on his contract no less. Billy G is an amazing GM pulling this off the way he did.
