We gotta admit that the Preds had stagnated under Lavi. He took them as far as he could. Unfortunately, GMDP hired the worst replacement ever in Hynes.

You can’t always look at a coach’s subsequent success and presume they would have the same success had we not parted ways. Coaching is just as much about strategy as it is about relationships. By this same logic we should have kept Trotz around for a quarter century because he is a GOAT. Sometimes you need a change in leadership to yield the results you are looking for.

That said, not gonna sit here and defend Hynes.

Firing Lavi wasn’t the problem. It was clear he’d lost the room. Hiring the bald man was the problem.

I have zero issues with the firing of lavi and all of the issues with hiring Hynes.

firing lavi wasn’t the issue, he had clearly lost the room. It’s who poile decided to replace him with less than 24 hours later

Nah Lavi needed to go. GMDP just didn’t spend enough time looking for a quality replacement

  7. The players were the problem when Lavy was fired. We still have a lot of those same players, bringing in Hynes was not the right move for those players.
