    Absolutely great deal. A 7th is Damn near nothing, Lockwood didn’t seem to be moving the needle in development, and Kratsov will have a good opportunity to crack the roster here and a pretty wholesome community of other Russian players to help him get adjusted quick. Really happy with the deal

    This is a steel, I know his future is uncertain next year but we should sign him to a 3 or 4 year bridge deal similar to Kirby Dach, and as well his situation from Chicago and how badly developed he was to now in Montreal and he’s looking like a very key player. I can see this becoming Vitaly Kravtsov in a few years time.

    Yeah, Lockwood would never make it or be a 4th liner and maybe 3rd. Kravtsov has the potential to be a top 6 forward. Even if he doesn't pan out, we didn't lose anything of importance. This is a win for Canucks for sure.

    The rangers wanted höglander, allvin waited drury out… Lockwood did well in Abbotsford this year scoring goals frequently in his last stint. Excellent trade PA/JR, I believe in what this regime is doing. I feel like the avs could target JT Miller next, he is showing that he could take a team like Colorado back to the cup. I can’t see a better Kadri replacement on the market currently. Go Canucks!

    I like the trade, and i can see Lockwood getting sent to the minors to clear cap space for the Rangers. VK i feel just needs a fresh start, and with some of the other Russians here, I feel he will be happy. The Rangers just had too much depth in forwards, so he never really had the change to get a fair look at. Here i feel he should play with Miller and Garland on the 2nd line so the Canucks can really have a good look at him.

    When Jim Benning heard about this trade he was confused as to why the Canucks didn't have to give up a 2nd round pick.

    After years of seeing Benning losing all the trades he made, it is refreshing to see us winning the Horvat trade and now this! Now just watch us getting Bedard and suddenly we become a Cup contender!
