Mike was only 13 yo at the time of saying something about someone in teddies family right? Teddy was 27 and the girl was 11 yeah? I don't understand why teddy had to go to such extreme measures to show Mike he shouldn't have said something to his family member. Reiterates something my dad said to me many times. If you are in the wrong, forget your pride, all the stubbornness, admit you’re in the wrong and apologise, never be afraid to say you’re sorry. Regardless what it is, you apologise, thinking about it hurts more than saying it, and once it’s said, 9 times out of 10, you will be embraced & everything is good again.

I want Tyson to apologise to Kevin Rooney for letting Don King manipulate him into firing him in his prime. If Rooney stayed as Tysons trainer during the 90s Tysons record would be 100-0.
It was sincere. I had similar falling outs with friends from long ago. This past year, I found out their information and reached out to apologize for any way in which I contributed to our falling out, even in situations where I thought the other person was responsible.
And I meant it. As I age, I realize that no small quibbles should be enough to end friendships, and I was at least partially responsible in every instance. It also doesn't matter even if I weren't. At the very least, I was sorry that I allowed the relationship to end.
I have no doubt Mike was similarly sincere. It takes some of us a long time to realize how little our ego matters in this life. It certainly took me quite awhile.
Teddy, you made the right move, Mike appears to really working to become a better person. It would be a huge get if you could get him as regularly as possible to make an appearance at the fundraiser at your foundation dinner.
I must admit, I don’t know what happened, and that I’m only a recent fan of teddy atlas, but by any means necessary Mike Tyson of old to apologize for “whatever” today – is a heartfelt genuine apology.
