I’m saying this has I find that the greys help make the gold pop better in contrast to the rest of the colors used and the fact that it isn’t overwhelming like the all gold jersey where the red under stripe and shoulderpatch logos and main logo are lost in the chaos. It makes the jersey look very elegant and flashy without being too try hard.

Eh, the Golds have kinda grown on me. I admit that I HATED them at first but they’ve gotten easier on the eyes for me this past season.
I mean, we are the GOLDEN Knights after all.
Greys with gold helmets is a DOPE alt though, I love it.

Absolutely, unquestionably. Far and away the cleanest kits we have. Color balance is great, contrasting/clashing is great, logo stands out very nicely, 10/10.
The golds are a nice novelty but they scream nothing more than “3rd jersey” to me. Especially when you look at the whole uniform, the colors really just don’t feel that cohesive. It’s starved for some darker colors to contrast the gold and red, and the steel gray isn’t dark enough to keep everything from feeling a little overwhelming. Especially with those white gloves.
I like both uniforms, I’d like to keep both uniforms, but the homes are a much more cohesive design overall. Greys for being on-ice, golds for being a fan wanting to stand out in the crowd.

It’s a different era now. I’d rather those grey jerseys represent the misfit era myself. The grey jersey is one of the best in the NHL, the gold one is flamboyant and fantastic as well. Absolutely love all the jerseys weve ever had to be honest

It’s weird. I think the golds are more appropriate for this team but I do really like the OG grays. Part of me doesn’t want to see them phased out. But there’s something to the whole scarcity element that makes those OG sweaters that much more special if they get discontinued. Like I have an OG inaugural jersey with the inaugural season patch, the Finals patch, and customized with Theodore’s name and number. If this jersey went out of circulation it would make it that much more exclusive and unique (coming from a lifetime as a Ducks fan, the true OG Mighty Ducks jerseys are iconic and exclusive now. They redid them as reverse retros and the third jerseys are in that style but with a different color scheme. The only way to get your hands on something like the original is a pre-owned jersey or a really well made replica)
On the other hand, overly changing the jersey risks failing to establish a recognized brand. Our main crest, in my opinion is incredible and will be looked at as iconic within the next couple decades. But the issue is, you look at teams like NYR, Colorado, Montreal, Chicago, etc. Any changes to their main kit have been miniscule through the decades and their uniforms are immediately recognizable. Whatever we end up sticking with, we better stick with it for a long time. The team has been in the league for 6 years and we already have, what, 4-5 different jersey kits now? I know the RRs were time limited but if the golds really are replacing the grays as the main kit, that’s way too early for a rebrand.

This jersey is what made me pick VGK as my hockey team because I love the look and logo. I had never watched hockey prior to seeing VGK play in the playoffs their debut season and I was hooked immediately. Was bummed to see the all gold home jerseys this year.
