I think you're right Sean. I look forward to it. It'll be exciting, even if we're not in the playoffs. Changing the culture will be an exciting change to watch.
If the Devils' goaltending doesn't hold up in the playoffs, they might be interested in Hellebuyuk. A deal could look something like: Hellebuyuk to the Devils for Simon Nemec + Vitek Vanecek + a 2024 1st. Maybe a bit more?

Good show today. Enjoyed hearing Sean Reynolds' take on things.
Here's a thought on trading Dubois. I think the best bet would be to trade him at the draft as a 1-year full season rental, to a team who believes they will have a chance to compete for a cup during the 2023-24 season.
It would be helpful to get a deal done if the Jets actually signed Dubois to a $7.5 or $8 mill 1-year contract, then retained 25% to 50% of the salary. If would increase the trade return, plus increase the number of teams who could fit him under the cap.
It's this kind of out-of-the-box thinking that will be required to maximize the value for these players. Otherwise, they'll be getting 70 or 80 cents on the dollar.
🧐
Jets culture is a disaster. Only cleaning out 55 & 26 is going to change things. Minnesota Wild realized they had the same problem 2 years ago and bought out Parise & Suter. Now look at them.
I expect 55, 26, 37 & 80 to all be gone after this season. Hopefully Chevy goes with them so someone else can do the rebuild.
55 to Buffalo for Krebs, 24 first, 23 second. Done deal!
Another great show guys. As much as I would hate to see Hellebuyck traded, it might be what is best for the team. Also moving Scheifele and trying to Wheeler would be good for the culture. If you are trading Dubois, anywhere but Montreal! Definitely going to be an interesting summer.
With the Jets, once the they fall behind 2-0, the game is all but over at that point. For a team with talented scorers, they just do not have the ability to climb out of multi-goal deficits. Teams can sit back and clog the neutral zone and the Jets won't get anything going.
During the hot streak, who were the players on the ice?
They should bring in Mike O'Shea to change the culture of the Jets. He has turned around the Bombers. I think that Chevy has to see the light and get rid of some guys in the core and get some youth that is not connected to the Jets present locker room.
